  3. JJ Barnes - Think I've got a good chance - Organic Thankyou please Billy
  4. Trust me to be the one to ask this, but I'm sure it's on most folks' lips.....who are you? First post, joined today, selling £5 grands worth of rare soul....you must aggree this does look a bit dodgy.
  5. I have one Mark but it's not for sale. I'll play it for you next month at the Friendship Mark
  6. Original is very rare, mind you so is the pressing now....Dave Raistrick has one at auction making about £220, Manship auctioned one a while back, and I was offered one after I posted a want a few months back (he wanted too much). Hard one to price I think because it is very rare on original, but I don't think (I'm guessing) it's not very well known?
  7. Well folks to each is own I suppose. Don't like Jimmy Burns and never have. Distinctly average and one of those (like many, Colt 45s probably being one as much as I hate to say it) that would attract no interest what so ever if it was worth £30. Think I might have scored a copy of Colt 45s, just waitring for confirmation email whenever that might arrive Billy PS no Phil not got Frankie & Damons track yet. Missed one about 8 weeks back too, ended about $300 i think well done on Mac Staten by the way, fantastic record.
  8. Thank you girl is shite* and where does it list up to £700?** *in my humble opinion ** ohhhh Manship
  9. How many different coloured labels does this actually have??? See yellow and green all the time, seen one red and one blue, and aparently there's a funk version on a turqoisey coloured label?
  10. Hold????? What tight sod hasn't just gone out and bought it at 30 quid?? I personally don't think "holding" records is on - you either buy it or ya don't.
  11. Mee too - excellend record IMO. Wouln't mid one myself actually so if anyone fancies selling one get in touch
  12. Some stuff for sale here. Shipping within UK is free, airmail is about £3 I think. None are priced so if ya want something make me an offer. Offlist if it's not too much to ask - email lujuna@hotmail.co.uk or PM me. I know some folks have my mobile no but PLEASE DON'T CALL. I'm very busy with work at the moment so the only time I'll be around is if I'm on here, such as now, and I'd rather get PM'd anyhow. Hope you find something you like! JOEY IRVINE DON'T THROW OUR LOVE AWAY VINCENT MINT Great funky crossover - reminds me of Richard Caiton. One sold for over £800 on Pat Brady auction end of last year. UNIVERSAL JOINT LOVE WON'T WEAR OFF SNIFF M- Superb late 60s/crossover piece with nice sax-led inst on flip. 2 small stickers on inst side label. COVER UP YOU CAN DEPEND ON ME M- Fab 60s dancer. Had this record almost 5 years and never seen or heard of another despite mentioning it to various dealers, all of whom had never heard or seen it before. Soundfile available on request. MAJESTIC YOU ARE MY WHOLE LIFE RODNEYS EX Seen this on soo many wants list after Kitch reviewed it on the Realsoul site, but never seen or heard of any copies. Open to offers. RAY SCOTT LOVE PILED ON TOP OF LOVE DECCA DJ MINT Fab 60s stormer in tip top cond. SPARKELS TRY LOVE OLD TOWN VG Don't be put off by condition- plays great. Slight wear and an "x" in biro on label. NOAH GOT TO GET AWAY CANDY STIX MINT Brill Soul Sam spin - perfect modern mid tempo in perfect cond. SWINGIN TIGERS SNAKE WALK TAMLA VG Verrrry rare, books £750. Believe me not looking for top end price on this one..... BARBARA REDD I'LL BE ALL ALONE SPQR DJ VG Please don't be put of by condition - plays great despite being styrene. Looks a bit dull and label has wear but play a clean and tidy Ex. DENITA JAMES I HAVE FEELINGS TOO/WILD SIDE FLIP MINT!!!!! Not seen a mint one before. All are hissy with backspin but this is absolutely immaculate, and of course 2 brill sides! BOBBY YOUNG YOUR LOVE KEEPS ME COOL FOKIE DJ EX+ Condition is close to m-....thos who saw me auction this will know the story. Think it's an unknown piece but I got 3 demos, all similar condition from the States a few years back. Sodl one straigth away for £300, a second to Chris M (hi mate how's it going) for about £250 I think, so this is my third and final copy. Really like it but just find I never play it. Think someone else could do a lot more with it. SOUL SHAKERS GET HIP TO YOURSELF LOMA DJ VG+ Brill - can't recommend it enough! CHUCK BERNARD A SHOULDER TO LEAN ON BRUNSWICK M- Dog rare issue - demos have that funky island shite on both sides but issue has this fantastic mid to down tempo dumber on the flip. Ender material maybe, or just a home listener. Either way this is a hard record to find. Tidy too. MANDRILL TOO LATE MUD ISLAND MINT Rare boot/2nd issue/reissue/2nd press/repress whatever you want to call it. Seen far fewer of these than the Arista copies - issue or demo !
  13. Speaking of pikeys..... 40 Pikeys arrived at Heaven's gates. St Peter says "There's only room for 12 of you so decide amongst yourselves who's coming in." 10 minutes later St Peter say to God "They're gone". God say "What, all 40?" "No." Says Peter. "The Fcuking gates."
  14. It's shit Ted And always has been. Fantastic voice but such a shit record * * in my humble opinion
  15. Not that expensive.....don't doubt the Manship copy will make double what it should do, but I've seen (and almost bought) copies in the past for around the £200 mark. Sold mine for a ton years back green un too
  16. Says him with Jimmy Burns as his avatar
  17. COLT 45'S - LADY LADY - JERRY Preferably yellow label - might cost a bit less offlist please to lujuna@hotmail.co.uk or send us a PM. All help appreciated. Billy
  18. we'll be saying the same about Clara Hardy soon
  19. Trev you got an Anthony & Aqualads yet mate? If so wanna move it on?
  20. More like 55 times better! 'Thankyou girl' is a bit average in my opinion, flip's much better but 'Eye for an eye' is by far the best out of the lot. Soundbyte up in a tick
  21. When you call em thatDave I think it's pretty safe to say you more vinly looney than most
  22. I don't mind at all mate - think it's nice to see/hear what folks have been buying. Thing is though last time I posted sommet up (not my own thread) with a couple of biggies I'd just bought on I got a snotty email from someone telling me to stop showing off! .....so never again.
  23. Andrex? come on mate it's not that good Why not use a snipe? There are plenty of free trial things...
  24. Would think a grand's a bit over the top. Seen a fair few on ebay recently and as far as I recall not one sold for over £400. Most I watched/bid one ended at just over or round about $600. The one on ebay looks like a minter, might have a go. All good fun eh Russ
  25. woops, but there is an imitation label on styrene - I know because I used to have one.
