  1. Just so you don't buy the wrong 45... there are four different versions. Check this out for more info:
  2. It's rare and hardly ever turns up. VERY undervalued at £40 in my opinion. A copy went cheap through eBay a couple of months ago, so can probably still be had at a decent price if it turns up though. The slightly "novelty" lyrics and the fact that the backing track is used on another tune out of New Orleans (with superior lyrics) probably also keeps the price down.
  3. Was indeed issued in Sweden on TAMLA MOTOWN (4E 006-94803). But it also got a regular US issue as MOTOWN 1263.
  4. "Voodoo Woman" b/w "Bewildered And Blue" is on the RAINBOW label, not RIO. I only have about half of each tune as an MP3 if that is of any help? Let me know and I'll put it in refosoul if so.
  5. Indeed seems to be very rare, but a copy sold for £10.70 on eBay about 2 months ago: https://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370182683983 Probably would've gone higher if the item description had incorporated some of the stuff you wrote above.
  6. Yes, first on TAMLA, then on ARGO. Same goes for Eddie Holland "Merry-Go-Round" - first on TAMLA then UNITED ARTISTS. Herman Griffin "True Love" - first on TAMLA then COLUMBIA. Miracles "Bad Girl - first on MOTOWN then CHESS. Barrett Strong's "Money" and "Yes No, Maybe So" were both first issued on TAMLA then on ANNA.
  7. It's on the CA$H label. Don't know what it's going for, but it's not cheap.
  8. I have read that the SPIRIT issue is from 1969 (please correct me if I'm wrong). The FENTON and MOTOWN issues are from 1967.
  9. The Ones "You Haven't Seen My Love" comes to mind. Originally released on FENTON.
  10. Might be worth pointing out that both sides on this disc (and the other IT release by Rickett) are written, arranged and produced by Anthony Curtis and Lonnie Lee Tolbert - the same guys who were Curtis, The Brothers on BELL and The Curtis Brothers on CAPITOL.
  11. Only 1-2 hours left on these auctions now. Thanks for looking!
  12. The original issue is from 1967 and was on the CHARIOT label. It was slightly later picked up by A&M for national distribution.
  13. I haven't heard it and don't know the value of it, but I see that it's a cover of the well known Otis Redding tune. The only info I could find about it was from the following site: https://www.dcsoulrecordings.com/index.php?id=123 SOULTRAIN (Baltimore) Soultrain consisted primarily of white groups performing soul, doo-wop, & rock tunes. 008 And The Echoes - I've Always Wanted Someone Like You / Tell Me Anything But Give Me Love 009 Collection And The Civics - I'll Be There / Come Back, Run Back 2079 The Admirals - I Can't Turn You Lose / Wrong Love (1967) (one of their few soul tunes, the Admirals also performed rock & country)
  14. I agree. The Royal Jacks version on BIG 5 is decent as well, albeit a bit expensive and beach-ish (so perhaps not to all tastes).
  15. The 7" release was 3590 and the (perhaps proposed?) 12" releases was 3591. When PIR issued both a 7" and a 12" of a song they usually gave them consecutive numbers as shown by the scans and listings below for Edwin Birdsong, Silk and Bobby Rush. That's most likely what happened with the Anthony White 3590/3591 release as well. Can't say that I've seen any 12"s of that title, but I haven't really been looking either. 3590 : ANTHONY WHITE - "Im So Much In Love With You"/"Yes You Need Love" (7") 3591 : ANTHONY WHITE - "Im So Much In Love With You"/"Yes You Need Love" (12") 3670 : EDWIN BIRDSONG - "Phizz Phizz"/"Goldmine" (7") 3671 : EDWIN BIRDSONG - "Phizz Phizz"/"Goldmine" (12") 3690 : SILK - "Midnight Dancer"/"Get On Up" (12") 3691 : SILK - "Midnight Dancer"/"Get On Up" (7") 3694 : BOBBY RUSH - "I Wanna Do The Do"/"Hey Western Union Man" (12") 3695 : BOBBY RUSH - "I Wanna Do The Do"/"Hey Western Union Man" (7")
  16. There's about 2 days left on these auctions.
  17. This 45 was a good seller at the time of its release and was pressed at several different pressing plants which explains the differences in label layout. There are at least 3 different issue variations. All of them are originals. Some are pressed on vinyl and some are pressed on styrene. Some examples:

  19. ...or a much more simple way to do it: Do a normal search. When the results pop up, scroll down and click Worldwide under the Location header in the left column.
  20. Click on Advanced Search Enter what you want to search for Scroll down the page until you get to Location Click Only show items: Then change the From preferred locations: to Worldwide Click Search at the bottom of the page. Make a bookmark of the results page that comes up after a while and re-use it the next time you want to do a worldwide search.
  21. Usually fetches $100-$150 on eBay.
  22. Don't know exactly why they chose that way of pressing their records, but lots and lots of Polydor and Capitol distributed 45s has got those anti-slip grip marks. The Silver Blue label was distributed by Polydor.
  23. No, the Mixed Emotions 45 is neither a Holland/Netherlands or Germany release. It has got the SABAM logo on the label which indicates that it was a Belgium release.
  24. I uses to have a copy of this german release as well. Found it here in Sweden. It also had the labels flipped, so all copies might've been like that. I sold it in November 2006 for $46 on eBay. Here are scans of the copy I used to have:
  25. Looks very nice, would really like to have a copy of that!
