  6. There's a good version by Otis Leavill on DAKAR as well.
  7. Interesting how taste differs. Although he had a great career and released loads of good tunes throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s, I perosnally don't think that he recorded anything else during his entire career that comes close to the brilliance of "I Can Feel It".
  8. The issue boots actually read DEMAC BNI (instead of BMI). How someone could make such a glaring mistake when trying to make something look authentic is laughable! Some scans below. ORIGINAL ISSUE: BOOTLEG ISSUE: ORIGINAL WHITE DEMO: BOOTLEG WHITE DEMO:
  9. A fantastic tune! Nice to hear that some DJs in the UK has started spinning it as well.
  10. There is no acetate of the slower version recorded for Columbia. According to the sleeve notes the tape that Ace/Kent worked with was an unmixed 8-track recording and "Indication" was the fourth tune (probably just a run-through demo) that they recorded during their Columbia session which resulted in the superb "Doggone It" / "Falling Tears" 45 (on Columbia) as well as the unissued "The Groove She Put Me In". By the way, there is only one vocalist on both the Columbia and Jay Boy versions. Don't know if it's Eddie Campbell or Ernie Johnson though.
  11. Yes, that's it. The fast version is a Loadstone recording and is only available on a UK JAY BOY 7". The slow version is a Columbia recording and is only available on the Kent CD "Northern Soul's Classiest Rarities 3".
  12. Only 1-2 hours left on these auctions now! Thanks for looking. :-)
  13. Indeed the copies of "How Can One Man Live" that looks like this plays "Hung Up On Your Love" instead, BUT it is a mispressed reissue done in the 80s (or even 90s):

  15. ...and he has got 21 copies in stock of it at the moment.
  16. That must be mistake. It never sells for more than £15-£25 on eBay and there's at least one M- copy listed per week .

  18. No. Loads of copies of this 45 has been found and it shouldn't cost you more than £20-ish absolute tops. In fact, Craig Moerer has got over 100 M- copies in stock at the moment priced at $35 each: https://www.recordsbymail.com/search.php?keywords=24768

  20. Lots of cheap buy-it-now copies on eBay: https://desc.shop.ebay.com/Records-/306/i.html?LH_TitleDesc=1&LH_PrefLoc=2&_nkw=%22Don%20Fardon%22%20room&Speed=45%2520RPM&_catref=1&_dmd=1&_dmpt=Music_on_Vinyl&_fln=1&_ssov=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282
  21. It's previously unissued and only available on this CD: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Just-Beginning-Phillip-Mitchell/dp/B00013MWZC
  22. I think his version on the SONET 45 is decent (and superior to anything on the Harlem Kiddies EP) but obviously too slow to be suitable for a dancefloor. I just think it's amazing that a swedish/danish artist recorded a cover of "My Baby Likes To Boogaloo" in the mid-60s. I guess he must've learned/heard it when Don Gardner and Dee Dee Ford toured Sweden at that time. King George/Harlem Kiddies might even have been their backing band for those dates, I'm trying to get more info on that. Have you heard the more uptempo funky take of "My Baby Likes To Boogaloo" and the storming "It Ain't Right" off the swedish "King George Discovery" LP? There's some good stuff on the danish Harlem Kiddies LP on SONET as well. Also worth checking out is "Last Train To Georgia" with his band Red, White and Blues plus both sides of the "I'm The Best" 45. His early 80s LP is best to avoid...
  23. There's now about 2 days left on these auctions.
  24. Any info on this? Matrix details etc. Have seen two pressings on Capitol, one as Carletts and one as Corletts but both of those were originals.
  25. And also a seriously rare version by King George on danish SONET (as "Boog-A-Loo") released in a nice picture sleeve.
