I absolutely love that one. Surprised it's still there, definitely not one of his easier releases.
-
It's a very, very common 45. £20 is the highest price I have ever seen it listed for. Available on both 12" and 7" and both are easy to find. Lots of US dealers has got stock of this 7". It was probably the soundclip that sold it.
-
No, it's a totally different tune.

Northern Modern & Crossover 45's For The Weekend
Sebastian replied to Pete S's topic in Record Sales
POUNDING King Tutt-ish dancer with lots of potential IMO. Still seems to be unknown to a lot of people. Have a listen: -
Indeed issued with two different flipsides, but with the same catalogue number: TNT Band - The Meditation / Mr. Slick - COTIQUE 136 TNT Band - The Meditation / Sabre Olvidar - COTIQUE 136 "The Meditiation" is timed 3:50 on both labels, but one of them might very well be an extended version despite that, I don't know. There are at least 4 different label variations for this 45 so it must've sold very well. It turns up at least once per week on eBay and hardly ever sell for more than $15.
-
I agree, can be picked up much cheaper in/at record stores/fairs, have found a bunch of copies here in my hometown in Sweden, all for for less than £10. But wouldn't personally sell it for less than £100.
-
That's too low. Both issues (with and without "Keep It Up") regularly sell for £125-£200 on eBay.

Don't know if you know this but the EJA and GREEDY 45s has got very different versions of this song. The EJA one is an earlier recording and has got more of a gritty crossover feel to it while the GREEDY version has got a sweeping string arrangement and sounds much smoother.

Why is that Tempests album considered "blue eyed" soul?
-
Don't get me wrong, I like The Pretty Things a whole lot... but "leading lights of pop music"? Compared to The Beatles they were a just blip on the worldwide music radar and to compare the popularity/impact of The Beatles vs. The Pretty Things is a non-starter.

Current Price For The Valentinos - Sweeter
Sebastian replied to timthemod's topic in Look At Your Box
No, it's the the original flipside to "Sweeter Than The Day Before" called "Let's Get Together" that is wanted. A pounding uptempo tune that is begging for some spins, but probably gets over shadowed by its popular A-side. -
The Litter was a garage rock / psych band (most famous for the magnificent "Action Woman": , in fact their entire "Distortions" LP is fantastic). They released a bunch of 45s and LPs on the ABC distributed PROBE label in 1968 and 1969. Eddie Holman's "I Surrender" on ABC is from 1968, so perhaps there was some kind of mix-up at the pressing plant at the point of printing the labels? It would surprise me if The Litter and Eddie Holman had anything else in common than being signed to the same family of labels.
-
Many white demos on the labels mentioned above were pressed on vinyl. I've never seen a white demo of Big Frank on PHILIPS.
-
I don't think I've ever seen a Philips issue of this that was pressed on vinyl. Do you perhaps have a have a label scan of your copy that you could post up? Both of these are on styrene for example:
-
There's a copy for £15-ish here: https://www1.gemm.com/item/FOSTER-c-BOBBY/WHERE--DO--YOU--GO--B-l-W--I%27M--SO--GLAD/GML274345695/ Slightly expensive, but OK if you desperately want it right now.
