That is correct. It did get an official 7" issue on Warner Bros in the Philippines.

Thanks for the comments everyone! We're glad that you're enjoying the tunes. As Helena wrote above, we will try to record some more of our nights and put up the audio here (and elsewhere). The Skanor / Falsterbo region sure is lovely. Some of the nicest beaches I've ever been to and the nearby villages are well worth a visit. Check out the beautiful Osterlen region (Kivik, Simrishamn, Vik, Kaseberga etc.) located on the eastern side of Skane on your next trip if you haven't been there earlier.

The LINDA release of "I Love Her So Much" is definitely from 1965. The previous Majestics 45 on LINDA ("Strange World") is from 1963. The last ever 45 on the LINDA label is from 1967.

The reason that it says "fast" under the title is most likely just to alert radio DJs that it is an uptempo tune. The same goes for the flipside which has got "slow" under its title to alert that it is a ballad side, and not that it is a "slower" version. Would be great if someone can post up scans, soundfiles and matrix details of both tunes on the 45 that hasn't got "fast"/"slow" on the labels, so we can put this one to bed.

The "fast version" on the CD is previously unissued. Kent/Ace used the wrong master tape when mastering the CD, that's apparently why the info on the CD says that it is the 7" version.

I sold that record. The winner bought 10 records from me today for a total of $1951.48 and has already payed. He often buys from me. He lives in London. He's got 733 positive feedbacks. Four different people bid over $300 and they were all from the UK. There is nothing fishy going on here, if that is what you're implying?

That Phillip & Lloyd album is absolutely abysmal apart from "Keep On Moving" in my opinion. Quite amazing that they agreed to release such awful material considering their history. Must pick up those LAX LP's, I've only got some of their 7"s and 12"s. The jamaican group Casual T were indeed doctors. Their "Prescriptions For Love" LP (produced by and released on Rita Marley's label!) is extremely expensive and in-demand, but I luckily found "All Out Of Breath" on a 7" instead! I had Jenny Wren's "Chasing My Dream All Over Town" go through my hands a couple of years ago. Surprisingly rare in my experience.

I think what James meant to write was something along the lines of: "Why can't new spins that sounds like or are similar to The Crow etc. be accepted by those in positions of influence?" I might be wrong though, but that is how I read it.

I think that the now almost 20 years old(!) Goldmine CD "Crossover Soul" (GSCD 9) makes a perfect case of what Rod Dearlove's definition of the term "crossover" was meant to describe. It's all late 60s and early-to-mid 70s stuff and has got a unified sound that is very easy to pin down in my opinion. Whether you agree with this definition is a different matter, I guess.
