  2. Same label and same cat# but different artist name (Sugar Hill).
  3. It's a previously unissued tune by Lafayette Vaughan which was included on Goldmine's "Detroit Soul From The Vaults Vol. 2" CD (GSCD 20). There was a track by him called "That's Bad" on their "The Lost Soul Of Detroit" CD as well (GSCD 21). According to the liner notes: "Recorded in November 1971. Basically a street person of Detroit who set up his own release at no cost to the company to be able to say he had made a record"
  4. That all sound amazing, Tony!
  5. Cue: Dan Penn - The FAME Songwriting Demos - CDKEND tba Now wouldn't that be nice?
  6. Some of the DJ copies are indeed pink.
  7. Superb early effort by Lew Kirton. Much harder to find than the price above (or any guides) indicates. Have a listen:
  8. The SUNCUT version is far superior in my opinion. I know a lot of people who prefer the much looser HIT SOUND take though, but it's got an annoying flute line running in the background that drives me nuts. Below you can compare for yourself. HIT SOUND version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqmzX8m_loY SUNCUT version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n63Qw6HqZBE
  9. The version of "Do Your Stuff" on HITSOUND is not the same as on SUNCUT though.

  12. That's the "demo" or "test press" of the Goldmine release.
  13. It's an official (I assume?) late-1990s release done by the UK label Goldmine Soul Supply. It uses the same artwork as Lou's original 60s EP on UK London.
  14. I've been playing the hell out of that 45 lately. "Ohh Baby" is an amazing dancer in my opinion. Will upload it to refosoul in a minute.
  15. "Can't Believe You're Gone" is another good 60s dancer by them: And if you're into banging late 70s stuff, check out their LP-only "Keep On Moving": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB16zrKWwgQ
  16. That's about going rate i would say although a copy sold for £755 on eBay about six months ago. "Usually" fetches £500-£600.
  17. "Right click" on the link, choose "save link as..." or "save target as..." and the MP3-file will be downloaded to your computer.
  18. The link to the MP3-file which was posted by Chalky above is: https://www.thesoulgirl.com/LifelineAndyDysonPodcast.mp3
  19. Both of those LPs are still pretty cheap and easy to find in my experience. I'd go with any of these: 1619 Bad Ass Band - 1619 Bad Ass Band - TSG Bobby Boyd - Bobby Boyd - TIGER LILY Brief Encounter - Brief Encounter (a.k.a. Special Release) - SEVENTY-SEVEN Casual-T - Prescriptions For Love - RITA MARLEY Helene Smith - Sings Sweet Soul - DEEP CITY Ike Noble - Fresh Start - CONNOWIL Jackson Sisters - Jackson Sisters - TIGER LILY Marvin Holmes & Justice - Honor Thy Father - BROWN DOOR Mighty Ryeders - Spread The Message - SUN-GLO Milton Wright - Spaced - ALSTON Moses Dillard and The Tex-Town Display - Now! - TEX TOWN Patterson Twins - Let Me Be Your Lover - COMMERCIAL Ricardo Marrero - A Taste - TSG Rivage - Sittin' On It - TEMPUS Solid Gold Revue - Love's Traffic - CASTANET Soul Expedition - Soul Expedition - LEFEVRE Sounds Of The City Experience - Sounds Of The City Experience - TIGER LILY Timeless Legend - Synchronized - PENDULUM Topics - Giving Up - TSG Topics - Wanted Live By A Million Girls - NCS Turner Brothers - Act 1 - MB v/a - Black-Out New Sounds Of '70 - CENTURY Wee - You Can Fly On My Aeroplane - OWL
  20. Same here!
  21. Which one? "You Gotta Love Me"? That's a bloody rare 45. Hardly ever turns up.
  22. Most of the copies that have sold on eBay during the past couple of months have reached $200-$275 (so about £125-£175, I guess).
