  6. ...and $0.50 is not "a fortune". It is super cheap to list buy-it-now auctions. The final value fees are high though. But seeing as no one buys this sellers goods, it shouldn't be a problem for him/her.
  7. No matter how high the price is, it never costs more than $0.50 to list a "fixed priced listing" (i.e. buy it now). It costs $2.00 to list something as an "auction style listing" when you have a starting price of $200 or more. Check out eBay's fees page: https://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html
  8. From Popsike:
  9. Great tune! Very decent price.

  11. I seem to remember that you wrote the exact pressing figure for the "Use It Before You Lose It" 45 in a previous thread, but I've forgotten what it was. Do you remember? 500? 1000? That Bobby Valentin tune is one of the best ever examples of boogaloo / uptempo latin soul and the 45 has been nigh on impossible to get ahold of during the past 10 years. Very few copies has come up for sale "out in the open" (i.e. auctions/lists/etc.). Its availability/price 15-25+ years ago is not relevant. It is also irrelevant that there might be copies sitting in people's collections unless those people decided to sell them and flood/stabilize the market. All things considered, the amounts that this 45 has sold for in recent Manship/eBay auctions is spot-on in my opinion.
  12. A "store account" like his costs $300 per month plus $0.03 per item to list. Then there are ofcourse the "final value fees" for the stuff that sells (roughly 15% per sold item).
  13. It is definitely a bootleg, pressed during the last 10-15 years.
  14. It is: Royal Jesters - My Kind Of Woman / I've Got Soul - OPTIMUM 101 Joe Jama sang in The Royal Jesters.
  15. I did that before I made previous comment. I recorded the Lyrics and Toby Bullard 45s, slowed down the Toby Bullard track so that it had the exact same speed as the original Lyrics 45 and then I put both recordings together in one soundfile. I put the recording of the Toby Bullard 45 in the LEFT channel and the recording of the Lyrics 45 in the RIGHT channel and it's obvious that both speakers play the exact same recording. Have a listen for yourself below: https://www.shingaling.com/tobyLEFTlyricsRIGHT.mp3 I totally agree with John Manship. The Flodavieur release is a blatantly obvious bootleg.
  16. No, the Lyrics 45 on GNP utilises the exact same version as the Toby Bullard 45, but the track on the Toby Bullard 45 has been speeded up ever so slightly.
  17. Only 1-3 hours to go on these auctions now: https://shop.ebay.com/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking!

  20. Fantastic UK-only tune: Major Lance - Don't You Know I Love You - CONTEMPO

  22. The 45 pictured in his "buy it now" on eBay and on his site is definitely pressed on vinyl. Check it out: https://www.recordsby...keywords=297107 https://cgi.ebay.com/...em=300491830711 By the way, he has got 23 copies in stock at the moment.
  23. Curtis Lee exists on both vinyl and styrene. I've only ever seen Little Willie Jones on vinyl. It would surprise me if that tiny label 45 was pressed on two different locations or more than one time. In my experience, the majority of all buyers don't care whether a 45 is pressed on styrene or vinyl. So it's not really something that a seller SHOULD state, but it's ofcourse good if they do for those of us that do care.
  24. The resemblance is uncanny!
