  5. Thanks for the info, but I'm aware of that. I only put "vertigo swirl" in the item title in order to catch more attention to the auction so that no one interested in collecting Vertigo records misses it.
  6. That sounds absolutely fantastic!
  7. Congrats! That's a result! Hope you didn't order the promo/demo though as it has got the flipside "Young Power" on both sides.

  9. Steve and Ian: glad you like it!
  10. It's a very rare 45. I've been trying to find another copy for nigh on 10 years without luck. As KevH wrote, it is included in one of my mixes. 11. Her other 45 on CAPITOL, "God Is Love", is one of my all-time faves. Fantastic mid-tempo stepper-ish kinda crossover tune.

  13. I just pulled out the Jimmy Webb 45 on Bell with "Lost Generation" and the label credits read: "Produced [...] for Audio Arts Productions" I've never ever noticed that before and didn't realise that there was a long term connection between JW and Audio Arts! I now realise that he wrote and arranged several other things for Audio Arts/Forty/Gospel as well (Ron Kenoly, Al Waples, William & Michael, Otto's Organization, Harold Bowen Singers etc.).
  14. Just found a soundclip of it. It utilises the exact same backing track as Jimmy Webb's version on BELL. Webb's version is - if anything - more soulful than Bailey's...
  15. Is that the Jimmy Webb penned tune? If so, would love to hear it, purely because of my interest in JW. Is it a soul recording?
  16. Absolutely fantastic tune. I can't understand why it isn't getting more spins.
  17. This one perhaps? Gets going after 45 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7ZNAtyv9_E
  18. Apparently it was also included on the "Poco Prima Dell'aurora" LP from 1973. The Roulette 45 is from 1975.
  19. But as miff stated, the NUMERO UNO 45 below is a bootleg:
  20. The US issue is indeed on Roulette, but the original 7" release was issued one year prior to the Roulette 45 and it was as far as I know only released in Italy at the time. The real name of the artist is Ivano Alberto Fossati & Oscar Prudente. The original title is "Tema Del Lupo" (translates to "Theme Of The Wolf" if I remember corectty). The original italian label is CETRA NUMERO 1.
  21. It's pretty indicative of his love for catchy and melodic pop music though.
  22. I'm loving the later version of this tune by Count Demon as well.
  23. There's a nice version of that tune by The Four Singing Avalons on ATCO as well (same backing track as Archie Bell if I remember correctly). Prefer Bobo's take on it personally.
  24. LP-only as far as I know. Fantastic tune.
