  1. OK. I'm sorry, I just did som research on this. Seems like Apple has gotten rid of the line-in port on their newest machines which is quite remarkable. In the past you could use the headphone socket on Mac's as a "line-in" by altering the settings in: >system preferences >sound >input tab >"use audio port for:" >select sound input from the drop down menu But that doesn't seem to be an option anymore. But for those with PC's, the cables above should do.
  2. Are there any modern PC's or Mac's out there these days that hasn't got a 3,5mm input and a soundcard? All you need in order to hook your amplifier via line-out/tape-out to your computer is pictured below (usually costs from £2 for a 1 metre cable and then goes up): If you decide to go via the headphone socket on your amplifier instead you should use this:
  3. Hello! I've listed a bunch of records on eBay. There are label/sleeve scans and soundclips to everything. Check them out at: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking! Take care. /Sebastian
  4. It's now only 5-6 hours to go on these auctions: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking!
  5. I totally understand that, but I would still be interested.
  6. I'd love a copy of that if anyone has got it for sale. Please, PM me if so.
  7. "Stop Her On Sight" was released with a picture sleeve in Sweden as well. Both the norwegian and swedish picture sleeves had the SWEDEN pressed 45 inside. The mix on this 45 is different from all other 45 releases of this track as far as I know. It's as if they used the stereo mix to master the single, but only ended up using one of the channels! SWEDEN picture sleeve:
  8. Original picture sleeved HOLLAND release:
  9. As Robb suggested above: both are legit. "Right, Oon" is on vinyl. "Right On" is on styrene. Both variations usually turn up in VG-/VG-ish condition so obviously a much loved record upon its release.
  10. I didn't think we were being that picky in this thread. The same goes for "Do I Love You" by Frank Wilson then. It's also promo only in the US.
  11. This did get a US 7" release: https://www.45cat.com/record/4228608627
  12. There are 24 red text copies but only 5 black text copies listed on Popsike so the black text one indeed seems to be much rarer. Both are however pressed on styrene and I don't think there's any real price difference between the two considering that they were both pressed at the same time. Now... if one of them had been pressed on vinyl it would've been a different story!
  13. Just a case of different pressing plants having pressed the record at the same time. I've never seen an issue of this 45, only demos/promos.

  15. All is not relative. Info about the recent reissue/bootleg is totally irrelevant and should be left out of this conversation because it just confuses matters further. I agree that it would be good to know whether the "Al Scott" or "Mr. Soul" issue came first. I'd bet money on the white labelled Al Scott one to be the first issue just like Pete S implied above, but I don't think there is a huge timespan between the two releases. It's all guesswork though, hard to know without asking the people involved in the recording etc. NSG, have you tried to contact Billy Nichols? He should know. It's also not strange that both releases have got the same catalogue number and are on the same label. That has happened a lot throughout the years on both big and small labels.
  16. Once again, you're mixing things up. There is a recent (i.e. from the 2000's) repro/bootleg of the black label "Mr. Soul" issue. It has got nothing to do with the ORIGINAL black label "Mr. Soul" issue from the 1960's. The labels look different if you inspect them closely and the bootleg hasn't got "You're Too Good" on the flipside (which is actually the a-side).
  17. It might be worth asking Billy Nichols (https://billynicholsmusic.com/) about it. Billy co-wrote the flipside "You're Too Good" together with "Mr. Soul" a.k.a. Al Scott a.k.a. Albert Scott. Here's the BMI entry for "You're Too Good": https://repertoire.bmi.com/title.asp?blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&keyID=1733051&ShowNbr=0&ShowSeqNbr=0&querytype=WorkID
  18. NSG, you are mixing things up. The 45 on the Classic 45's site is a recent reissue (bootleg?) with the same song on both sides.
  19. Supremes - Only Sixteen Was released twice in Sweden with different picture sleeves, twice in Denmark with different sleeves and flipside, once in Norway. DENMARK: SWEDEN: NORWAY:
  20. Gloria Jones - What Did I Do To Lose You (was released in Sweden) Jackson 5 - Goin' Back To Indiana (was released in Scandinavia and a some other countries in Europe)
  21. It was released in 1964, not 1962.
  22. That might be the case, but those hundreds of copies sure don't come up for sale much these days.
  23. You're probably thinking of some other 45, this one didn't get a non-US release. It's a very rare 45 that seldom turns up. This was definitely an extremely high price for the Jeff Floyd 45, but it has been massively in-demand over the past couple of years and few copies are hitting the market. There hasn't been a copy on eBay in 3 years apart from the one yesterday. And it's been five years since a copy complete with its picture sleeve was listed. A copy sold on SoulSource for £500 about three years ago. It has never sold on Discogs, but has got 132 "wants" for it. "Don't Leave Me" is fabulous. Yes, the guitar solo as well.
  24. Just have a look at the numbers in the run-out grooves. It's the original if it has got "5444" on the a-side. It's the bootleg if it has got "5544" on the a-side.
