  1. No time to put these on eBay at the moment... ...so some 45s at set sale prices here. PayPal payments only, please. PLEASE NOTE! All prices inlcudes ordinary airmail postage. E-mail me at fonzeus@telia.com if you're interested in anything. That's it for now. Thanks for looking!
  2. I agree... Same songwriters so no big surprise. I love Alvin Robinson's version as well:
  3. The Voices Incorporated "Roots" LP on Columbia. Can be picked up for about $10-$20. Here are some pictures and text bits from the LP sleeve (by the way, I suspect that Garrett Saunders in the picture is the same guy who cut the nice beat ballad "A Day Or Two" on Serock).

  6. These auctions ends in about 4 hours. Thanks for looking!

    Really like these!
  10. No US 45 of the Isley Brothers version, but it it did come out on a UK Epic 45 (flip to "Need A Little Taste Of Love"). Lovely tune. Think I prefer the Isley's version.
  11. I agree! Top gritty tune.

  13. The Darrell Nullisch tune is available on a 45 released at the same time as the latest "Togetherness" compilation CD on Expansion. I like it. It's very similar in feel with the latest couple of albums by Nick Lowe so it would be strange if I didn't like it. He's got quite a weak voice though, but it's a decent track nontheless.
  14. I did that as well... then I watched the video clip... (Christian, you really have to borrow those DVDs from me, some brilliant stuff on them!)
  15. That's a very decent price. Buy it. I'm even tempted to buy one myself... and I've already got one. "Pretty" good... you're having a laugh!
  16. And in mono. Nice!
  17. "Big City Lights" on STA-SET is one of my all-time favourite ballads. So gritty it hurts. She seems to have been mainly active in the gospel field and I've read that some cassettes or LPs from as late as the 80s shall be in existence. Haven't seen or heard one of those myself. These are in any case small label or local church gospel releases. The only other 45 with her that I've been able to locate is one released as Cleo Jackson Randle on CHECKER, "Life In Heaven Is Free" b/w "No One Cares For Me Like Jesus". "Life In..." is magnificent! Here's an unplayed copy of that Checker 45 for $8.99: https://cgi.ebay.com/CLEO-JACKSON-RANDLE-no...6QQcmdZViewItem
  18. "Good Things" is a superb tune that I've been after for ages. £275 however, is too much for me. Knock off £200 and I'd be tempted, but that's still pushing it a bit. An old funk classic that could go in a "northern setting" as well I guess. Not that it matters really, it would be great played in any "setting". "It's All Over" has got a decent backing, but the singing is on the weak side, plus it sounds a wee bit too much like "I Can't Wait Until I See My Baby's Face" by Baby Washington (and Arteha Franklin etc.) which is a far superior track and a stone cold classic.
  19. Yes, i know them. Guys & Dolls should be £5-£10 and perhaps slightly more for the Van Dykes 45.
  20. No, but if the "supply" consists of... let's say 500 copies... then it will last for a very, very long time and the price will drop accordingly. And that is always a good thing.
  21. 3 recent copies on eBay: 28 July - $136.70 23 July - $150.00 19 July - $140.50
  22. I quite like the flip on MM.
  23. Gold paint (or other colours) was used as an alternative to making drill holes in records that record stores couldn't send back to the distributors.
  24. It's a wishy-washy crossover dancer. Not bad, but nothing to get excited about in my opinion either. Good lead vocal though.
  25. These auctions are ending later today. Thanks for checking them out.
