  1. Thanks, just checked it out.
  2. Don't know this, any chance of a soundclip? I only have his "Put It On The Line Girl" 45 on the same label which is a very nice one.
  3. So it's not the 7" version? Can you post it up here?
  4. Freddie Hughes "I Just Found Out" on Janus is seriously painful. It doesn't get much better than that tune in my opinion. Absolutely love it! Have a listen below. Also, Toussaint McCall's "Nothing Takes The Place Of You" is a serious tearjerker.
  5. Yes.
  6. Try to record the file again but with lower volume on the "source" (your stereo, tapedeck etc.). There's just distortion on your WAV file.

  8. I didn't expect that you would charge that, but it was mentioned above that the "value" of this record is about £400, just wanted to point out that far cheaper copies can be had on eBay.
  9. There was also a 45 in 1978 by The Fabulous Tears, but apart from that only releases by the ones you mentioned. The early 60s releases by Billy Adams and Bobby Dale were released by a different Ko Ko label as far as I know.
  10. Good luck trying to sell The Monzas on Moon at £400. A rare record indeed, but the latest handful of copies (during the past 6 months) on eBay have all reached $100-$150 or less. A decent, but very "mod" record to these ears.
  11. About 24 hours left on these auctions now. Thanks for checking them out.
  12. Nice gritty instrumental. I personally prefer the flipside.

  14. The 12" is indeed fairly easy to find but the 7" has proved to be pretty damn elusive and it luckily hasn't got that long slap bass break. The 45 version is only 3:58, check out the sound clip below. Still seems to be quite unknown. Banging tune! Double Exposure After All This Time.mp3
  15. Thanks! Aparently the same group and they only had one release on the Gold Coast label. Great punchy uptempo dancer in my opinion.
  16. Is the Double Exposure group that did the fine "After All This Time" on a 7"/12" back in 1981 on the Gold Coast label the same group that had releases on Salsoul? And if so, did they release an entire LP on Gold Coast? Have read that the Salsoul bunch disbanded in 1980 so I'm a bit confused... Any info? Thanks in advance.
  17. Don't forget to flip that one over for the fine deep soul ballad "Take Me Like I Am".
  18. Yeah, I noticed that. Just thought it was a funny mix-up.
  19. Made me laugh at least! https://cgi.ebay.com/Lenis-Guess-Just-Ask-M...1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. Interesting indeed, Derek. Didn't know that. The copy up for grabs is the 60001 copy if it's of interest to any potential buyers. Would be nice to hear a sound clip of the 701 version if anyone's got an MP3 or RA.
  21. ---
  22. A nice bargain for somewhere there. Storming dancer!. https://www.soulclub.org/stream/The_Emerald...9;ve_Got_It.ram
  23. "Heavy Music" is from 1967 and was Bob Seger's last Cameo 45. I like much of his material, but "Heavy Music" is no big fave of mine. "2+2=?" (Capitol), "East Side Story" (Cameo) and his first couple of Capitol LPs are much better in my opinion. Having said that... like Mitch Ryder, The Rationals and many other r&b influenced Detroit/Michigan rockers, I have never sorted my Bob Seger records in the "soul" section of my record collection. It's nice good-time-shout-bamalama rock'n'roll though.
  24. Just played that Oliver Bush 45 on Jubilee you've got for auction earlier this morning and what a total stomper it is. Underrated and underplayed. Love it! https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4835543482 Oliver Bush Please Come Back My Love.mp3
  25. That Lester Young 45 hardly ever turns up and it's an absolute BELTER of a tune! Also both sides on that Louis Curry 45 are superb. Have a listen:
