  1. I'm always harping on about: Fearns Brass Foundry "Don't Change It" on Decca. Nice dancer in my opinion. Have a listen:

  3. "Once Upon A Time" on ABC has always been a big fave of mine. Very pop-soul and extremely catchy. Have a listen: https://www.soulclub.org/stream/The_Orlons_...Upon_A_Time.ram
  4. That's not correct. The sound quality on the french issue is however very good. The spanish one sounds pretty dull and distant. The US copies sounds absolutely superb and superior to the european issues. Definitely one of the best sounding and loudest 45s I've got (along with Fabulous Peps "With These Eyes"). "Talk About Love" was released 3 times on Charay, two times as Pic & Bill with different flipsides and one time as The Fiery Spartans with an instrumental on the flipside. The Fiery Spartans release was the first one, as Charay 74. Both of the Pic & Bill issues are Charay 99. Very confusing. Despite being issued 3 times it is a seriously hard record to locate. It hardly ever turns up for sale.

  6. Pardon my ignorance... but is anyone playing this? The Moovers "Darling, I'll Go". Apparently acetate-only and was recently officially issued on a CD. Who's got the acetate? Reminds me of why I got into the northern soul side of things in the first place. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!! GRITTY GRITTY GRITTY!!! BLOODY HELL! DarlingI_llGo.mp3
  7. HAVE REDUCED MOST OF THE PRICES, SEE BELOW.
  8. I have a copy and I think it's a great version of "Sweet Thing". It very seldom turns up for sale here in Sweden, think I've only ever seen 2-3 other copies for sale during the past 10 years.
  9. Fantastic tune from a great artist/songwriter. Barbra Streisand also recorded that tune and had a gigantic hit with it in 1971. I love Laura Nyro's "Eli & The Thirteenth Confession" album mentioned above.
  10. Cleo Randle is on STA-SET, not ATCO. Sorry, haven't got a copy for sale.
  11. Decently priced and a great tune! Has got a nice stomping northern flip as well. Not an easy 45 to find.
  12. See and hear below. Seeing as Voices Incorporated was a New York gospel ensemble, it seems highly unlikely that they would've recorded the entire album in french as well. A french pressing of the LP might exist though, I don't know. There are some spoken word tracks, but most of the LP is frantic gospel. The album is called "Roots - An Anthology Of Negro Music In America". I've attached a picture of the group below plsu some other stuff. One of the members in the group is one Garrett Saunders, I suspect that he might be the same artist who released "A Day Or Two" on Serock. Voices__Incorporated___I_Turn_To_Jesus.mp3
  13. Simon, here's a scan of Voices Incorporated.
  14. Another tune that is very similar to that fine Hesitations cut is J.R. Bailey's "Love Won't Wear Off" on Calla.
  15. It's UK-only. Great tune in my opinion.
  16. Yes. Nola 711 - Warren Lee Taylor - Every Day, Every Hour / Key To Your Door - 1965 Quite nice record from a great artist. His frantic "Star Revue" on Dee-Su is a big fave of mine.
  17. I'd call that boogie or disco. Not funk as it has got a straight 4/4 drum pattern. A decent version of the Storm track on Rosette.
  18. I didn't suggest that either. I just said that it's better than the later solo version.
  19. The Delacardos released an in my opinion far superior version of this on Q-City and Atlantic.
  20. They only issued four 45s plus one LP on Smash. The missing 45 from above is: Smash 2158 - Long Live Our Love / In The (Cold Light Of Day) - 1968 Great group, almost everything they recorded is good stuff. Check out their version of "Out Of My Life" on one of the Smash 45s, it's the original version of the Hazel Martin tune on MARCO (which has been getting some attention during the past couple of years). Hazel Martin was the singer in The Tempests, and the original 60s Tempests cut of this track is far superior to the solo version in my opinion.
  21. I'm not saying that it's a soul tune but... jazz? Seriously? Shel Talmy wrote it prior to his move to England. The Dra issue is from 1961/1962, the United Modern issue is from 1965.
  22. Stevie Wonder's version of "All I Do" was also issued on a US Tamla 45 #1602, b/w "That Girl".
  23. A bargain at £20 as well. Top stuff!
  24. Yes, it's quite nice and gritty. I personally prefer his other Arvee 45 though. Little_Joe_Hinton___Let_s_Start_A_Romance.mp3
  25. Two great records there! As previously mentioned, Cassietta sells for about £50-£75 on UK lists, but don't forget to check out gospel listings as it can turn up much cheaper from such sources. Chris Kenner is not very in-demand as far as I know but can be tricky to locate. Doesn't sell for more than $20-$40 when it turns up on eBay. Good luck!
