  10. The entire 10 x 7" box set where it was included can be had for about £55: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Crash-Of-Thunder/release/1333557 So £5-£7 would be fair I guess for the 45.

  12. The above figure(s) times 40 roughly. At least.
  13. This is something I really don't want to write. It is with unspeakable sadness that I learned this weekend that my dear friend Helena Stromdahl has passed away. I'm in total shock and feel empty. I've known Helena for more than 15 years. Initially at a distant as a fellow music lover and clubber around town (and in Gothenburg), but as the years progressed we became friends and have for the past 8 years run the Function and Soulin' club nights together here in Malmoe, Sweden. She was a fantastic, encouraging human being and a constant source of inspiration for me. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts go out to her family and all of her friends around the world. This is how I will remember her. Rest in peace Helena Stromdahl.

  17. The debut album by swedish group Paola & The Mess Arounds entitled "Silently Whispering I Love U" has just been released! Heavily Motown / northern soul influenced stuff and includes plenty of great uptempo dancers. The album is available for streaming on Spotify and YouTube. It's also released on vinyl LP in an edition of 500 copies. The LP can be ordered from me at the cost of £20 (including worldwide shipping). If interested, PM me for more info. Here are three of the tunes:

  19. Assuming you mean "The Hurting Is Over" by Arthur Willis, there's a lo-fi soundclip of it on YouTube:
  20. It is "Somebody Somewhere". Actually, now that I think about it and have checked up the cat#, it must've been on canadian Capitol. Natalie seems to be Canadian and have released songs in french as well and has got several releases on canadian Capitol. I used to have a soundclip of her version, but can't find it at the moment. It appears on several playlists by the Soul Source user "Mischief" by the way. Natalie Baron - C'est Fini, Va-t-en / Trois Mots - CAPITOL 85.038 Natalie Baron - (Somebody Somewhere) Needs You / Window Wishing - CAPTIOL 72600 Natalie Baron - The Next Sound you Hear / Jamie - CAPITOL 72610
  21. Surely Ike & Tina was the first version, from May 1965. Then Larry Laster, then Darrell Banks. As for other versions with different backing tracks, The Mid Knights released a version on canadian Warner Bros in 1968 and also Natalie Baron on US Capitol from 1970. There's probably plenty more as well.
  22. The entire webpage is still viewable using the "Wayback Machine" Internet Archive. Don't know for how long it will be there, but if anyone wants to do a "site dump" or save any scans, here it is: https://web.archive.org/web/20150319174946/https://45-sleeves.com/
  23. Regarding the Barbara Lynn 45. It has sold for more than the recent Manship price (£120) a couple of times on eBay during the past years, but it usually goes for a lot less ofcourse. The grey issue pressed on vinyl (not styrene) should be the most desirable and most expensive, but perhaps most people don't care.
