  2. Yes, Jonte (who also run the Club Function nights) plays it quite regularly.
  3. 6. Just for future reference, here is an original:
  7. She released at least six 45s on this label and one or two LPs. Which track do you need?
  8. Thanks for the podcast link, will download and listen!
  9. Yes it's on a 45 on the Chartmaker label: His 45 as "Bobby Joe Ott" was issued on Metromedia. He also issued a nice (and expensive!) psych LP on Chartmaker which includes the superb "Shades Of Blue". Here's the LP:
  10. There are no convincing reissues of this 45 as far as I'm aware. All the copies I've seen with "stereo" printed on the right side are pressed on styrene (and should be avoided on that basis, in my opinion) and the ones with "stereo" on the lower left side are pressed on vinyl. Then there are all sorts of demos, test pressings etc. A good selling record at the time of release which was pressed at several different pressing plants in the US, hence several different label variations to be found out there.
  11. It's styrene.
  12. GREAT DUO and pretty much all of their release are worth picking up. I like all tracks already mentioned but also check out "Gotta Put Something In" and "Love's In Command", superb modern soul dancers both of them.
  13. Only about 4-5 hours left on these auctions now. Thanks for looking! :-)
  14. As with many other major label 45s, the Art Freeman 45 was pressed at many different pressing plants around the US at the same time for different regional markets (instead of pressing all 45s at one plant and then shipping them out to all parts of the US). There are many variations of original Art Freeman 45s out there.
  15. Just pulled out "Sitting In The Park" and gave it a spin for the first time in years. Superb tune!
  16. Which Atac copy have you got? ATAC 102 or ATAC 7823? I just want to rule out whether one of the Atac releases has got better sound quality than the other. I see above that the ATAC 7823 label states the timing as 2:02 while the Mala copy states 2:32.
  17. About two days left on these auctions now.
  18. I remember reading that the sound quality on Mala copies is better than on Atac copies. Is this true? And if it is true, is it true for BOTH Atac releases?
  19. I'm glad you enjoyed the mix(es). Here you go: Dennis_Lee___Notables___Sunday_Afternoon___JENMARK.mp3
  20. ...and also available on US Arista 7" and 12".
  21. I just pulled out my "Dancin' With Melba" LP and it indeed looks like her in the Voices Incorporated photo.
  22. Neither the LP or the 45 mentions Melba Montgomery, Melba Moore or Melba Hill. That doesn't mean that it still can't be Melba Moore ofcourse. I don't know. See below.
  23. Hello! I've listed a bunch of LPs on eBay. There are label/sleeve scans to all records and soundclips to some. 24. Someone named Melba Smith is credited on the LP as singing "Thinkin'". Isn't Melba Moore's real name Melba Hill? Or am I confusing things? Garrett Saunders is also credited on the LP as being in the group. Same guy as on "A Day Or Two" on Serock perhaps?
  25. If you mean the ones that looks like the one below, then it's a bootleg made a couple of years ago:
