  1. Re Oliver: You're welcome! Re Doroty Berry: I disagree with you, it does crop up often for sale, both on eBay and from major US dealers. The reason her other Planetary 45 crops up more often on Popsike than "Shindig City" is probably because it usually fetches higher prices. One of the latest copies of "Shindig City" on eBay (March 2008) sold for $49.99 with one bid. Here's the link: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=230227051232
  2. Thanks for the comments! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Manship is currently auctioning a copy of the Frank Eddie 45 if you're looking for it.
  3. Hopefully the Kings Go Forth material will recieve much wider recognition than getting plays on the northern soul scene which whether it does or not is pretty irrelevant in the great scheme of things.
  4. At least one copy per month. Sometimes more.
  5. €190 (£150) for this 45 is pretty expensive. It ususally goes for £50-£80 on eBay. Her other Planetary 45 is harder to find in my experience (and also got an extremely rare sleeved released on Dot in Denmark! )
  6. I guess the most "pure" way to play an MP3, would be to bring it on a portable hard-drive and plug straight into the mixer or play it from a laptop. Cutting an MP3/WAV-only track on a piece of vinyl or a CD is the same thing - just different formats. Now... cutting it on a 45 (or recording it onto a CD) and then selling it - that's bootlegging.
  7. Yes it is. He released two 45s on Columbia as well.
  8. Most copies on eBay during the past year have sold for £200-£300.
  9. Only about 3-4 hours left on these auctions now. Thanks for looking! :-)
  10. Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you liked the mix. Here are some label/sleeve scans to go with the music.
  11. Both sides of their forthcoming 45 are great, but I prefer the flipside called "One Day". Played it at Function in Malmoe a couple of weeks ago and it went down very well.
  12. I've never seen that one and don't know when it is from, but Manship is selling it for £10 on his site.
  13. The only copy I've ever seen for sale was on eBay in late 2005. It was a M- copy and it sold for $2839. As the others in this thread have written, it would most likely go for more now though.
  14. Very fast indeed! Great vocals. Not the same backing as the Butlers tune, very similar though and with pretty much the same lyrics. Does anyone know which version came first?
  15. About 48 hours left on these auctions.
  16. I was handling a couple of Cameo and Cameo Parkway records recently and noticed that the "face logo" on the Holland Cameo Parkway releases is different to the US Cameo releases. Not extremely important, I just thought it was a bit odd. I've included scans of both a Holland and a regular US issue below. Have anyone of you seen any other variations? HOLLAND: US:
  17. The SHURE WhiteLabel is superb, and indeed tracks with very light weight, gives great sound and causes very little wear to the records. Fairly cheap at about £40 each as well (replacement stylus goes for about £15-£20).
  18. There probably has, but that's the only one which turns up on Popsike. A great 45. Wouldn't mind a copy myself.
  19. Hello! I've listed a bunch of 45s on eBay. There are label/sleeve scans and soundclips to all records. 20. A M- copy sold on eBay in March 2006 for $194.
  21. I'm glad you liked it, Mark! It's a 1980 release and came out as a 7" on GORDY 7185 with "Island Lady" on the flipside. Don't know if theres a US 12" but a UK 12" definitely exists. Both of them are extremely cheap (£2-£5). I think it's a great tune and I always get a good dancefloor reaction when I spin it.
  22. It was also issued on MARSHAL. Very hard to find. Especially considering that it was released on two different labels.
  23. Or its - in my opinion even better - flipside, "Come On, Let Me Love You".
  24. Thanks! I'm glad you liked the mix. Hope you're able to track down the records you are after.
