It's one of Johnny Guitar Watson's rarest 45s. Seldom comes up for sale.
-
Isn't it the other way around? Little Richard recorded several tunes written by Eskew Reeder (he also played piano on some LR tracks). I've got it myself and always have it in my DJ box, but haven't played it in probably two years. So by all means bring it if you want to play it. Looking forward to you meet you again and hearing you DJ! While I'm at it... here are some very nice Esquerita pictures:
-
SUPERB TUNE! Lovely Arthur Wright arrangement. Seriously hard to find 45!
-
In this particular case it probably does, as the demo copies has got "What Would I Do" on both sides.
-
Fantastic tune! Still very cheap as well. A copy (with soundclip!) sold for $13.50 on eBay three days ago! Usually seen on lists for £15-£25, there are actually a bunch of copies on Gemm right now in that range.
-
Superb! Have added this info to the discography. You don't happen to have soundclips of 4575?
-
I just searched for some scans to post up on this thread and managed to stumble across 3 items that I hadn't mentioned in my previous listing: VIRTUE 4976 - New World - The World Today / Master J. VIRTUE 91572 - Mickey Mousey - I Never Knew / Button VIRTUE 111280 - Gospel Ambassadors - Trouble Of The World / Please Search The Book Again So the rare New World 45 was apparently released twice! I've added the above info to the discography now. Here are some scans: An acetate:

The Holland issue of this that I used to have was on RARE EARTH. Was quite possibly released twice there as well though. Here is the one I used to have:

Craig is one of the best record dealers I've ever dealt with. I've had EX records from UK dealers that are worse than Craig's VG- grading! I recently had a look at Craig's eBay feedback and noticed that he's recieved 22223 positive feedback ratings during the past 12 months. That's over 60 positive feedbacks PER DAY every day during the past year! Pretty decent having in mind that only about 50% of all buyers in my experience bother to leave feedback. And on top of that he sells LOADS directly from his website as well. I buy a bunch of records from him basically every week and yes, sometimes it takes a while for them to arrive (the worst was 5 weeks!) but they always do arrive. I don't know why they sometimes take so long to arrive because his packages are always sent out promptly after payment has been made. Packages can't be sent by "surface mail" from the US anymore, that "service" was luckily discontinued a while back.

Just How Hard Is It To Get A Soul Bros Inc
Sebastian replied to Birder66's topic in Look At Your Box
Here's the most obvious one (with the otherwise acetate-only Phrenetics Band "Michigan Move" on the flipside). As far as I know, all copies of this record have the labels on the opposite side of the respective tunes: -
I don't know, but it's one of the best ever Motown releases in my opinion. Stomping tune!

Seven Souls On Venture [groove In -got To Find A Way]
Sebastian replied to Baz Atkinson's topic in Record Wants
Great 45! Manship has got it for sale at £30. I don't know if that's anywhere near what you want to spend though. -
It's an unissued tune included on a Bobby Freeman CD on ACE from 2000: https://www.acerecords.co.uk/content.php?pa...amp;release=725
-
Seems like it's mainly the LMNOP's version which is getting the attention, but the International Five version is superior in my opinion (better lead vocal, no out-of-tune brass or annoying backing vocals).

I consider it a steal as well. Haven't even thought about selling it, but wouldn't let it go for under $150. Probably would take even more than that to get it out of my hands, but that's more down to the fact that I don't have to sell it and that I think it's a great tune. -

I bought it. "Naked" is superb. Can't believe that I got it as cheap as I did ($21.50)! Boba, are you sure that the Eddie Simpson is that easy to find? It's almost ungoogleable (only throws up 7-8 results, and almost all are from discographies and the recent eBay auction). Perhaps it's just fairly unknown so no one has written anything about it on the net?
