  7. Thanks Dave - I'm off to make my own white labelled demo by tearing off the labels, and sow them together and create a technicoloured dreamcoat, which will more than likely resemble the German flag!
  8. Hi, I know this tunes been around on the scene for a few years now, and i got my copy when it first started getting spins.....but.....I've got a couple of copies on different coloured labels. Just wondered what the actual original release colour was? I always thought it was the Brown label, but many say its the black label Other's i'm aware of are pink and yellow. Was the record booted (what colour are the boots) and was there a ligetimate second issue which could possibly explain the confusion between black and brown labels. Cheers Azza
  9. Also available..... Robert John - Raindrops love and sunshine / When the party is over A&M 1210 Strong VG+ (couple of scuffs but plays well) £35

  11. Hope you have a cracking night Biff, cant make it im afraid. Glad you'll be there to celebrate the fruits of your endeavours on the clubs big birthday. Enjoy ya self, and say hi to Bev and the gang from me! Arron
  12. Definitely Frank Popp Ensemble, / Breakaway, issued on Expansion label. Great modern tune at a cheap price.....plenty around and would only cost you about £7-£10. They do a decent version on Ann Sexton / You've been gone too long which is pressed on the flip
  13. Good point Mike. Promoters of nights know what they want played at their do's and thus should get DJ's on the lineup that fit the bill. So is it not the promoter and DJ who contribute most to the growing popularity of such a phrase? This is just my opinion of course, but if people attend a night knowing perfectly well the same tunes will be played each month, then they'd be a hypocrit to quote 'same old same old' when a tune came on. I myself like a good mix. Venues and DJ's renowned for not playing safe appeal to me, but at the same time, i dont think there's anything wrong with throwing in a few "SOSO" tunes in your set. Keeps things fresh and the dancefloor full. I will confess to using the phrase once recently, but it was only in dissappointment of seeing a DJ, who i know has an amazing collection of records, play a very boring safe set at a venue which didnt really fit that policy. Arron
  14. Garnet Mimms - As long as i have you Simply superb record. Another one to add to the "definitely should've been released as a single" lists!! Reasonable price too Dukesy
  15. There's plenty of extremely knowledgable and seasoned collectors / dealers on here who you could get in touch with, and use books / recent internet sales to get an idea of value. All in all, some cracking records. Personally (and not knowing circumstances for the sale), i'd probably sell them off individually. Would have thought you'd get more cash in, and in the current financial climate, you might get cumulatively a better offer than selling as one job lot. All the best though, to you and anyone who's lucky enough to secure this box of treats!!
  16. Not this year mate, had a few hols already. You should have a great time though. Been a few times and last year at Lanzarote was great, the two rooms work really well. Be sure to take a few extra euros and get some of the leisure wear from Big Roy.
  17. New to buying records through SS, but been searching for a month or so without any joy for the below, so thought i'd give this a go. Anyone got these for sale / know of anyone who has? Eddie Holman / I surrender Dee Irwin / I only get this feeling Cheers Arron
  18. Sorry, my bad, forgot to add....i'm not Liam (just in case i caused any confusion)
  19. To my knowledge, extras only got paid recently. They did two weeks of filming in the Kings Hall when no extras got paid, but then had to pay certain people for scenes back in the Kings Hall a few weeks later (scenes which they couldnt fit in during that 2 weeks) and some for the shots on location, mainly for continuity purposes........these are facts. Although i'll admit the likelihood is that those who were filmed in the first Kings Hall stint were paid to come back as it's the only way they'd be convinced to do it (carrot as opposed to stick so to speak).
