  1. indeed Steve, very strange how the self titled LP doesnt have a single release. Oh well, got the LP anyway, and a blinding track.
  2. Saw one go through ebay a few month back on teh Alteen label with "CHESS" written in bold black felt pen right across it. He clearly had an opinion on which was cheaper
  3. Couldn't agree more Mr Plumb. Think i'll play this next week at Julie's 50th. Hope to see you there squire.
  4. BRETTMEISTER!!!! This is what you were put on this earth for mate, absolutely your environment this LP only malarky. Two of the finest spots played at Red Bar on August bank holiday from this guy......ALL LP ONLY stuff, superb. P.S - please can i have that Alice Clark LP?? You know it looks better in my box sir. Azza
  5. Hi, I've got the album with this great track on, but im pretty sure it was released as a 12" / 7" single in Germany, not expensive either. Has anyone got one for sale please? PM me, or email arronadams_azza@hotmail.com Cheers Azza
  6. This was such a fantastic thread when done last year. Cant remember how many replies (there were sh*t loads), so well worth another go. LP only tracks get way over looked IMO, and there are some CORKERS out there. What i found really interesting last time was the amount of tracks people thought to be LP only but had a foreign 45 release which people didnt know about. All part of the sharing and learning Loads of good ones mentioned so far like Righteous Brother, Tempests, Clydene Jackson, Rhetta Hughes etc. Two from me: Luther Ingram - Do you think there's a chance James Brown - Why did you take your love away from me (Massive nighter sound) Azza
  7. PM on its way Russ
  8. BARGAIN!!
  9. Nowhere near what my good mate anf fellow resident Rich Buckley got his for the lucky b*stardio!! I think it's about £1200, but could be wrong.
  10. Pictures look ok to me. Just because someone puts tunes up for a quick auction doesnt mean he's a fake, he might just need quick sales. Granted, he could be pulling a fast one, but so could anyone on ebay. I think if people have dealt with the guy before, and his feedback is kosher, thats no reason to distrust the seller, on what can only be labelled as hear-say. Wont be bidding anyway, but just thought i'd throw my 2pence worth in.
  11. VOICE MASTERS - YOU HURT ME BABY ............The (thankfully) brief violin solo which leads into the vocals break where the tempo picks up sounds like it was done by a two year old playing three blind mice!! Great tune though!
  12. Couple of bargains there John. Someone grab em!
  13. Wish i had a spare £450!! Reet tune
  14. Very popular tunes all on the harder demo versions. Both play much better than they look, descirbed as best possible, and gone conservative. KIM WESTON - I'M STILL LOVING YOU Tamla, WHITE DEMO!! Visually a strong VG+ / VG++, and plays EX, reallly nice loud and crisp sound, WOL. Now £SOLD DEE CLARK - THAT'S MY GIRL / IT'S RAINING Constellation, WHITE DEMO!! Visually VG+, and plays VG+++ (prob better), WOL Now £SOLD PM me or email me arronadams_azza@hotmail.com if you're interested. Pics / sound clips available on request. Cheers Azza
  15. Dont know mate but come see her sing it live in 2 weeks over in Leeds!!
  16. Didnt know Sam was playing this. Always assumed this tune to have been around for a while as it's in the same mould as a few others, which are very much oldies. As for price Keith i dont know, but wouldnt have had it down as an expensive tune. Sure there's been a few go through for sale on here so perhaps do a search in the sales section.
  17. A few more in the offering here to pay for new purchases. Very popular tunes all on the harder demo versions. Each one has a bit of WOL, and all play much better than they look, descirbed as best possible, and gone conservative. Again, prefer a cheque or cash for these but would accept paypal marked as gift. £2 1st class recorded, £3 standard airmail......Special delivery £5 / £6 outside UK. Not really sure on values for these as i've only ever taken notice of the standard issue copies on sales list. Think they're not far off, but would listen to reasonable offers. KIM WESTON - I'M STILL LOVING YOU / GO AHEAD AND LAUGH Tamla Visually a strong VG+ / VG++, and plays EX, reallly nice loud and crisp sound, WOL. £65 MARJORIE BLACK - ONE MORE HURT / YOU STILL LOVE HER Sue Visually a strong VG++, and plays EX- (just a couple of pops during intro), stamp on label. £ON HOLD! DEE CLARK - THAT'S MY GIRL / IT'S RAINING Constellation Visually VG+, and plays VG++ (prob better), WOL £50 PM me or email me arronadams_azza@hotmail.com if you're interested Cheers Azza
  18. Bit of a reluctant sale for these LP's, but needing to fund some wants. Would prefer cheque or cash on these to be honest. Will accept paypal marked as gift. £4 1st class recorded, £5 standard airmail abroard. The Tempests - Would you believe Incl 'Someday', plus many many other superb tracks. Stereo issue with original inner label sleeve, slight split but nothing major. Drill hole in sleeve. Vinyl is EX condition £80 James Brown - I cant stand myself when you touch me Incl the awsome nighter sound 'why did you take your love away from me', plus others Stereo issue, CERTAIN original. Sleeve has 2inch tear at the base. Vinyl would grade as VG to VG+ (conservative grading), hence the price. WDYTYLAFM plays well with some pops, but generally ok for DJing. £30 PM of email me arronadams_azza@hotmail.com if you're interested Cheers Arron
  19. Reet tune this, by it blind if you've never heard it.
  20. I got mine for a tenner about a year ago, only seen it on the bay a few times since. Some Kent Select are hard to get, this being one cos its just so god dam good!! Not sure if Ady Crosdell had any affilliation with this but might be worth dropping him a PM
  21. Thats a fair point Beeks. If there are numerous copies, which are clearly out there due to the regularity of sales for any said 'rare' record, by its very nature it isnt rare. It's a bit like when footy commentators use the word 'brave' when a goalkeeper claims the ball at a corner when 8 players are steaming in! Is he brave?? Is he b*llocks. Someone who risks their life to save others, thats brave. Point being rarity for me is an overused term and often missused in confusion with in demand or expensive records. Personally, i think rarity is as already mentioned all about the number of known copies of a record. There is definitely an arguement to suggest that records can go from being rare to not rare..............When a truck load turn up, thus making more known copies.
  22. Someone bag Ann Sexton at that price, about half the going rate!! Gonna be a big sound soon enough
  23. PM'd ya
  24. Issue £40, Demo £70-80. Great tune but £200+ is just feckin ridiculous
