  3. Thanks for all the info and link to previous thread. As said, apologies that this had been done before. Couldn't check refo as was on my iPhone and it would've bugged me before going to bed that night! You're right Brett, shoulda known this one. Still, always a pleasent surprise ey. Think it needs to go on the wants list. Much obliged to all posters and messagers. Azza
  4. Seen plenty vg+/++ copies at that price lately. Agree a minter is more, depends what you're after really.
  5. Creations is £40-50 Get the female vocal by Pearl Jones! better and cheaper (was previously unreleased but now out on a Sidra new issue thingy)
  6. This tune may well have a thread on here already so apologies in advance if so!! Just been listening to solar radio and heard a cracking record. Sure the Dj attributed it to Dee Edwards. It's called 'deal with it' I think? Providing I'm not being thick and have got the info right, can someone please tell me if this is available on a legit vinyl release? Format, going rate etc? Cheers Azza note to self - pay more attention to the radio Dj when he's talking.
  7. Once you've decided the reasons as to why you wanna sell and that you're definitely going to sell, then you have many options. Rare (and i mean rare, very unseen, extremely hard to get items)..... Put them through the dealers on a commission basis: John Manship, Pat Brady or people like Pete etc. Genuine blokes who have built up solid reps and can command bigger prices for your treasures. I put one through JM's auction last year and got back double what i paid for it, even after John's cut (and i didn't exactly pay peanuts for the record either)! Popular and mid-high end items that turn up often..... Try the above route but you're not as likely to have them put through auction - im sure the guys will push your list through their mailing contacts though. Or give Ebay a whirl - get your page set up, professional looking, scans and clips etc. And put them on long auction. .........OR.........For anything in your collection.........Put a massive list up on here, posting at either going rate or just under. No fees, and plenty of interested parties have a browse. Best of luck Azza P.S - if you've got a copy of Rocky Gil, soul party in there giz a shout
  8. Cant believe Oscar Weathers still available at that price. Great record
  9. Check out Soulmine website for Cortez Greer or PM Eamsy on here
  10. Professional templated lay out, scans, info, sound clips............it all adds up. Likely to attract people who perhaps dont know overly much about the 'going rate'? Keep doing what yer doing mate, and reep the rewards, it is an auction site afterall. in the words of our orange skinned soul friend David Dickinson 'anything can happen at an auction'!! Azza
  11. LP has been booted so be careful. Agree with Miff though, a cracking LP with all her hits in one place. Produced by Barry White i think? Should be able to pick up an LP for £60 to £80, they're often on Ebay, and here. Think the 45 is about £375+. A tough record indeed
  12. Can anyone please post up links to cheap places to buy record packaging for some of us part time sellers? I've only ever bought this stuff off ebay (mailers, stiffners etc) but there must be cheaper options. Might also help contribute to cheaper P&P options or at least counter act the Royal Mail's increasing postage costs. Cheers Azza
  13. Cant talk much about the casino cos i doubt i'd have even been a sperm in me dad's ball sack at that point, but nowa days footwear will vary a lot, much more about comfort / style than capability i suspect. Anything comfy with a leather sole would be my tip. Brogues will no doubt still be popular, penny loafers, bass wejiuns, tassled loafers etc.........Gotta be Oxblood for me though Loakes are a great make, solid and durable. Expensive but worth it.
  14. Paul, some of the actors in the other film learnt for months and months with some well respected dancers on the scene too. They also attended events on nighter calender. Whilst it may not have been for the duration these guys did, I don't think it's fair to dismiss the efforts put in by some of the actors on the other film. Agree with you on your other points though and hope the maticulous planning comes to fruition in what hopefully will be a fantastic end product. Not much insight into storyline yet though?? Anyone got a rough outline?
  15. Ady, if you need any help on the facebook side of things, let me know. Myself and Paul (Beat Boutique) have built up a decent base on our respectives groups/pages, and it's easy enough to increase visibility on the many other related pages on the system. It's a useful way of sharing info on upcoming events, updates / improvements, confirmed DJ's, hotels / treval etc. PM me for anything you need mate. Best, Azza
  16. Not the blowing the trumpet of our night, but the weekend started off with a bang for me at our Yorks Vs Lancs special!! We've had so much sh*t from the management of the venue where we host That Driving Beat, it was really nice to shove it royally up their a*se sideways with a packed house and busy bar. Mixed crowd (mainly soulies but of all ages), top DJ's all on form (especially Ady, his spot blew me away), great sounds and top atmosphere. If they boot us out, it won't have been for the want of trying and at least we'll go out with a bang. The only thing to top it off would've been a Yorkshire win.........a draw was a fair result though Azza
  17. Ady played it at our do on Friday and intro'd it with info on the cover up, bang on the money matt!! Lp about £80
  18. Agree Simon, respectful chaps. Good to see their honesty too. Hopefully the education they get from the likes of Keb, Ady and co can come across in their performance (not just the moves but the passion etc), particularly any dance scenes. I know Keb and a pal of mine worked hard with the lead actor on the other film and from the word go he showed a similar appetite to learn and reverence towards the northern soul movement from back in the day through to now. Looks like an interesting project this, and one im sure will have a lot of discussion about on here. Lets see how things progress. Might go check those gingham shirts out on the website, see if they do soul sourcer discount Azza
  19. Cheers Jo / Mace. Seems like a tough one then. Is that eBay figure about right £80? Callum's playing at our do in March so might see if he fancies selling it :-)
  20. Just wondered if a Ray Rodriguez tune was released on a single or if it's LP only. The track in question is called 'Delusion'. I know its on th Alegre LP with the same title, but just wondered if it was issued as a single and what format? How rare is the LP/single, and going rates? Cheers Azza
  21. Email sent to above address
  22. Quality tune indeed!!
  23. Little bump for this one, cash waiting.......... Azza
  24. Some bargains in there Andy!!
