You might get lucky with a VG copy on eBay for about a ton. One went through for that a few weeks ago. A little beat up but played well on the sound clip. Patience and persistence.

As in one i think i can realistically get, or the 'pipe dream' wants? If it's the former, i'd say not very rare (anything in volume of above 30 known copies isn't rare in my opinion). Got one at the top of my list that fits that bill and if i stopped buying bits in between i'd be able to get my grubby mits on. If it's more of a life long want where you know there's only say 3-10 copies in the world, and know who hold most of the copies then i'd say i have one in that category, but that aint happening any time soon, if at all!!

Vince Ayres (if that's how you spell his surname) was after one mate, think he started a want thread - a few responses notifying him of it's rarity, but he may well be tempted. Worth a quick search for his wants thread then a pm perhaps?

Just to revive this thread, and get a clearer answer.......... Obviously, Supremes (best version IMO) is CD only in terms of an official format. SO - Given that's the only way you should be playing it, and that polaying CD's is a big no no, then what are people's views on purchasing the CD and getting a carver from said purchase in order to play out? I like that re-edit Brett posted, and seems like a way to own this song and play it on vinyl, but if it's an unofficial release without the rights, would the option ive just mentioned be more plausible? OR do we just accept that politics of our scene prevent such a record being played out?
