  1. How much did the elements go for please?
  2. Check the sales rules about removing prices Maxwell
  3. Patience is a virtue as they say Jim
  4. Both sold, thanks for the interest
  5. Got these two fantastic 45's availalable for sale. Both have seen better days, but would probably qualify in the "fine for DJ-ing" bracket. Anyway, they're priced at a third of what it would cost you for them in decent nic! Sound files are un-edited, and these used to be my play copies, both sounding much better on decent decks/cartridges. Paypal as gift preferred. Postage extra: UK - £1.50 1st standard, £2.50 1st recorded, £6.50 special. EU - £3 standard, £8 registered. ROW just ask. PM me to reserve or txt 07968174086. Cheers Azza JAMES BELL & THE HIGHLIGHTERS - AMAZING LOVE RO JAM, VG-, £50 Classy crossover northern sound, been on JM's auction in the past and tough to find in good condition. Label is a little dirty but nothing major at all, swol on the flip (scans on request). Lots of fine paper marks and one or two more noticeable scuffs. Listen to full soundclip below, clears up great after first 20/30 secs. James Bell - Amazing love.mp3 FANTASTIC EPICS - LETS GET TOGETHER KELTON, Weak VG-, £35 Superb northern soul classic. Looks in pretty bad shape but plays surprisingly well compared to visual appearance. Label has ringwear and some wol (scans on request), and the vinyl has quite a lot of surface marks. Im sure with a good clean this will play even better. Listen to full soundclip below Fantastic Epics - Lets get together.mp3
  6. Think Pete's got it right there. Break em down into smaller packs and be prepared to cut some loss, as you're unlikely to sell them ALL individually. I recently sold a box of soul records of about 80 pieces (northern, 60's and 70's soul, some of which was quite mainstream). I put it into a local auction house, and got £92 for it. They took their 12% and charged me £1 for entering the lot. Vlue of the records probably went from 50p - £5, with the odd one or two a touch more at a tenner. That's not book price but going rate. Either way, they were bargain basement known records. I was happy with the result and doubt Ebay would've got the same amount even if i'd have listed them all.

  8. Next one is the day after my UK stag do, oooo-eerrrr!! Hair of the dog day at horse & groom me thinks!
  9. It's not an eBay type auction and I don't think warren will publicly post the highest bid, so your best bet is just to tell him how much you're prepared to pay, and if nobody beats it then you've got your record
  10. Some rare and not so rare records for your perusal, but all quality! Some duplicates and some very reluctant sales in there. Once i have what i need they're all back on the shelves. ERNIE JOHNSON - BIG MAN CRY STEPH & LEE, VG++, £50 Classic 70's/modern that never fails CHINO FEASTER - THE GIRL I LOVE SHIPP, EX, £20 ON HOLD! Seriously under rated hammond driven crossover. 11. W&A selfish lover is a superb uptempo dancer
  12. Ralph Graham lp worth a tenner of anyone's money. Superb album
  13. I sold one a couple of years back for £80 Steve, and it went quickly. It's not the easiest to come by. Maybe £100 is an achievable price with the reach that your website has, and on here of course
  14. Seven Souls - Well recommended double sider, and for that price you can't go wrong!
  15. Give it time mate, its only just come out and one single released. They put about 5 singles out from the last album all in all i think
  16. Saw him on jools, and went and bought both albums straight away. Can't wait for them to arrive. Played his stuff on YouTube, and figured when the albums get here I'll get a couple of singles that might be worth playing out and about. Sounds like the guy's had a fairly rough time of it in his life (as most of the soul singers we love and adore have done I suppose), and was 'discovered' quite late. Pleasing that he's making money now though. Fair play to Gabriel Roth for giving him a chance
  17. I think Marc Forrest listed Rideout recently at about £180, can't remember if it sold. But 150-180 is fair for a rare record.
  18. Couldn't disagree more Gibby lad. Incredibly cheap for an issue, which is much more desirable than a demo. It's a thing of beauty Azza
  19. I know you want the US orig, but if you're struggling with that i have it on Grapevine (or if anyone else wants the Grapevine one for that matter)
  20. They're not always records he turns up either, as collectors can offer up their wears to put into his auction (with a commission cut). So to be fair to John, the big prices and low prices are not always his hit/benefit to take.
  21. Dynamics - you make me feel so good "you make my liver quiver" in relation to how the girl makes him feel inside, best line in any song ever

Perhaps the guidelines should be updated Rod? Doesn't say anything about the forum being a reference point for members in intro, nor about removing details of the sale such as price etc
