All records graded on looks and play quality, and I’ve added full sound clips of all the records taken from the actual record for sale. Stylus/Cartridge on my recorder isn’t the best so they’ll play better on a better set up. Label scans available on request. Majority if not all priced fair, but always open to serious offers especially if buying more than one. Postage: UK - £2.50 1st class recorded, £6.50 Special delivery EU - £3 airmail, £8 recorded ROW — please ask Paypal (as gift if possible), bank transfer, cheque, cash (own risk) all accepted. PM me to reserve or txt 07968174086. Cheers Azza CANIA — VISIONS TAMMY JO, EX+, £140 ON HOLD Outstanding modern rarity, great dancer. Same old story: fetched big money as a new discovery, a small batch turned up, now long since dried up. Spotless copy here! https://www.divshare.com/download/24454012-d85 RISING SUN — ONE NIGHT AFFAIR SUNCUT, EX, £100 ON HOLD Sultry funky northern cut of this many covered classic track, not the easiest to find either. https://www.divshare.com/download/24453995-533 INELL YOUNG — NEXT BALL GAME BIG 9, VG++, £225 Another great crossover cut from Inell, check those funk beat drums! Again, not the easiest to source especially in good nik. https://www.divshare.com/download/24455979-581 ACT III — TODAY I WANT TO STAY INSIDE HARLEY, VG++, £75 Stunning 70’s northern sound with a slight funky riff. Old Butch spin. Vinyl looks minty but does have light noise in first few seconds (pressing flaw?). https://www.divshare.com/download/24453911-61c THE EBONYS — BACK IN MY ARMS / I CAN’T HELP BUT LOVE YOU AVIS, VG+, £160 ON HOLD Rare moody mid tempo northern out of Philly, backed with a great up-tempo northern dancer that’s worth a mention too, great double sider and rarer than you think. Vinyl has quite a few marks but plays superb, hence overall grade. https://www.divshare.com/download/24453886-279 https://www.divshare.com/download/24453890-3bc K.L HAMILTON — I’M TRYING RIP PRO, EX+, £80 Spotless copy including picture sleeve! Obscure stepper/modern that seems to be a hot item at the moment. Think this is a private label release? https://www.divshare.com/download/24453918-b1c IKE LOVELY — I WANT IT ALL CAPITOL PROMO, EX-, £65 ON HOLD Pounding up-tempo northern that always gets the dance floor rocking. https://www.divshare.com/download/24453894-9b9 RICKEY ANDREWS — THE NEXT TIME RWA, EX+, £50 Frenetic northern dancer that’s been getting plenty of action in Europe, spotless copy. https://www.divshare.com/download/24455993-8b5 FEMININE TOUCH — GROOVE ME FEM-TOUCH, VG+, £110 Classy girl group crossover northern dancer. This much rarer private label release, and by far the best take. Fetched lots more than this in the not too distant past. Bit of wol, conservative grading, plays superb. Bargain of the list!! https://www.divshare.com/download/24455983-d26 JACKSON SISTERS — I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES PROPHESY, VG, £40 Best label to have this 45 on. Has lots of marks on it which does cause noise during play, but on a music over powers it, fine for DJ-ing as they say! https://www.divshare.com/download/24455992-ed5

Got these 3 great northern/crossover tunes up for grabs, all with clips from actual record for sale. All three are well priced. Would listen to sensible offers. Paypal (gift), bank transfer, cheque, cash (own risk) all accepted. Postage extra. Cheers Azza FEMININE TOUCH - GROOVE ME FEM-TOUCH, VG+, £110 Rare crossover/northern dancer that doesn't come up for sale very often. The much harder release and by far the best take. But from a few marks would be graded higher, but plays superb as per clip. Still fairly unknown, bargain price, great tune. Feminine Touch - Groove me.mp3 DEE EDWARDS - I CAN DEAL WITH THAT DE-TO, VG-, £60 This 45 has seen better days visually, but plays surprisingly well. I upgraded my copy last year but only just got round to listing this, my old play copy. Lots of marks and writing on label, but ok for DJ-ing. With a more better stylus/cartridge this sounds even better than the clip. Would be 3 times this mint!! CrossoverSale.mp3 JIMMY JONES - AINT NOTHING WRONG MAKING LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT CONCHILLO, EX+, £15 Sublime piece of 70's crossover soul. You won't get much more soul for your money, and in pristine condition. Multicoloured label release. Jimmy Jones - Aint nothing wrong.mp3

Haven't listened to the podcast - was it the 'I will sacrifice' side?

This 45 has seen better days, but plays surprisingly well. I upgraded my copy last year but only just got round to listing this, my old play copy. Lots of marks and writing on label, but ok for DJ-ing. I've uploaded a full soundclip that is undoctored. With a more professional stylus/cartridge this sounds even better than the clip. Would be 3 times this mint!! DEE EDWARDS - I CAN DEAL WITH THAT DE-TO £60 https://soundcloud.com/drivingbeat_azza/dee-edwards-i-can-deal-with Postage is £2.50 recorded to UK, £6 special. EU is £3 standard or £8 registered, rest of world just ask. Paypal as gift preferred, or bank transfer, cheque, cash (own risk)

Irma Routen has been played for quite a while by a few jocks, not a new discovery by any means. Sounds much better in a club atmosphere on a loud system.

What sort of trades are you looking for? Any specific wants?

John Harris And The Soul Sayers Now Out On 45
Liljimmycrank commented on Mike's article in News Archives
I was referring to a re-issue, not a new release. And was just inferring from a previous posters viewpoint. Didn't say anyone had to change and conform. You like vinyl for your reasons and they like it for theirs. Not everyone is old enough to have bought records as new releases I.e. late 60's, early 70's and so they're reasons for owning the vinyl object may mean different things, as is clear in this case. Personally, I love the history that a piece of original vinyl holds. If it could talk, I'm sure it would tell many a good story. But I also love playing vinyl, especially at home. Still got lots of modern gadgets, granted, but I also love flicking through and playing vinyl......got a few re-issue 45's and various hits Lp's for tunes that are in my all time top 50 but unaffordable. Nice to put in a ten stack on my dansette. Of course, the tracks themselves have huge history. Many have great stories to tell that captivate us all and make us want to know more, often shrouded in mystery and rumour. That's an obsession in itself. -
John Harris And The Soul Sayers Now Out On 45
Liljimmycrank commented on Mike's article in News Archives
I think what Penny was saying is that they get their vinyl love from the history within that piece of vinyl.........an original vinyl copy of the tune they love has a rich history as an object, i.e. passed through hands, record stores, bins, been recovered from flames etc etc. Whereas a re-issue of the tune they love has only come from a pressing plant to the buyer. Same tune, and there's sure to be lots of history behind the tune itself, but as an object the pieces of vinyl are different. Pete's view is slightly different in that he loves the concept of vinyl as a format no matter whether it be the original or pressed up, i.e flicking through a box, pulling out a vinyl version of the tune he loves, putting it on the decks and dropping the needle into the grooves. (not saying he doesn't love the history and orig piece of vinyl, nor the history of the tune). -

Soul in the sun classic from Tenerife years

I've had Sunny and the Sunliners for ages, and love it. Only heard the Seven Souls at H&G, which is the perfect place for such a tune. Definitely a Sunday event record, or daytime weekender vibe.

Sure I saw one on eBay a couple of days ago

Offers On The Dibango 45 Ending Tomorrow :: Reminder
Liljimmycrank replied to a topic in Record Sales
Why not? Dont see this breaking any rules. Last thread was nearly a week ago. No different to seeing same batches of records listed by same sellers day after day, sometimes without any reduction -
Thought "dont make me beg" was only on the demo? Could well be wrong. B-side of "How long will it last", release number 1001. Could've sworn the issue is 1006, and doesn't have DMMB on the flip

Does he? where? Not in the thread i've been reading........ You highlighted the two tunes in question to everyone first, nobody else. You said they were big BURNLEY tunes at the time it was being cold an oldies venue. All that's been said is that they were played in other clubs before being big at Burnley, in response to your post. Did they go down well at those other venues? i dont know because i wasn't there, and if you werent there either then saying they didnt work is incorrect. Nobody has said Sean is claiming credit for these 2 records our of his 2hrs of DJing, nobody is giving him credit for playing these two records (why would they; according to you they don't work anywhere other than Burnley). It seems its just you making everyone aware Sean didnt make them big.

still After Cookie Scott & Dolly Gilmore 45S
Liljimmycrank replied to Balhamboy's topic in Record Wants
Dolly Gilmore was in sales last week, good price too -
Is good service really worth £200+ extra though? I've bought one record off the Jeffries site before, via a pm to a want (I just don't look at the site anymore, it's too pricey). The price for said record was one of the only ones I've seen them sell at less than going rate so I bought it, and service was very good. I think it's just a case of more fool: A) anyone who buys at their daft price, and B) anyone who sets their prices for selling the same records listed on the site at that price Those guys have a big reach around the world, and will get their price eventually. In some cases they won't. As someone said, nice to have the liberty of risking something not selling with little to no consequence. P.s I'm sure I've seen that copy of Ellipsis on their eBay site relisted for the last two years at least. Just shows they don't sell em all and aren't fussed
