  1. Bettye Swann.......you won't spend a better £7 this week
  2. He does auction them regularly, tend to fetch on the region of £250. Belting record!
  3. Thanks mate, yeah i know what you mean. Everything's really subjective. Was just hoping someone might know what they've seen it selling for recently. Sure the demo is harder than the issue, but don't know if that makes a difference on price. I'm actually looking to move this one on to fund other things rather than buy. had it ages so not really kept up with price on this one
  4. Paul Sadot (Paul-s) on here is selling a Pervis Lee on behalf of his mate. If you're on Facebook, the advert inviting offers on the LP is in the 'Rare Soul Sales' group Cheers Azza
  5. Hi all, See plenty of issue copies of this up for sale, some going for a song and some for a reasonable price. But please can someone give me a price / going rate on: BARBARA LYNN - TRYING TO LOVE TWO ICHIBAN, DEMO Cheers Azza
  6. Ebonies & Bobby Lee Fears great buys for someone
  7. Superlatives @£7 is best buy of the day
  8. I remember listening to this for the first time about 4 or 5 years ago on an eBay sales clip from a seller I buy lots off. Thought, wow, that's different and kinda good. Listened again and thought, it doesn't go anywhere, just plods along. And although it's become popular and I can see it's merits as a good dancer, I still feel the same about it. Didn't buy it back then, wouldn't buy it now. But I also didn't know it was getting plays at that time. It's only been recently I've seen it getting any action (last couple of years), so I see Paul's point entirely. At Driving Beat we try to put DJ's on who have a history of breaking new things in, and who still do, balanced with those who put great sets together (and plenty of different stuff as opposed to out and out oldies) but perhaps not necessarily earth shattering new discoveries. Blends both worlds and keeps the atmosphere going
  9. Was truck loads of these kicking around a couple of years ago Paul. Should be easy enough to source one for a decent price.
  10. So much for leaving prices on to enable a price reference resource. Seeing a few posts if late taking prices off. 7mph band is a class double sider. Pat Bleasedale played 'Latin freak' at driving beat in oct, took the roof off
  11. Lovations is a bargain fir someone

  13. WALTER BUTTERBALL DAVIS - GIRL STOP BEGGING LA CADE, EX £75 free standard shipping anywhere You won't find this cheaper and certainly not in this condition!! Awesome crossover. A want has come up hence low price!! YouTube clip just for reference PM to reserve Azza
  14. Been playing this at Driving Beat for on and off for a few years. It gets better reaction now than it did a couple of years ago. Surprised it was well received at the Central all dayer, but nice one for trying it out. Pretty sure it was Mik or Kel that mentioned it to me a while back. One of her toughest to source i'd say Azza
  15. Wasn't wanting to know what you were using the funds for, just the price (the change in site rules to leave prices on was to help provide a price reference resource)
  16. Certainly is!!
  17. Issue has two releases Paul. The one without the two horizontal parallel stripes going across the label is the one you want ideally. Much better production/pressing
  18. Is an odd one, they were far and away market leaders. Maybe Panasonic just took the decision to invest in digital development rather than analogue, seeing it as a dying breed 3/4yrs ago when they made the decision. Strange strategy.......but then again the biggest demand they'd have had would have been from clubs; house, trance, dub etc. Those scenes are completely dominated by cd decks and laptops/MIDI these days
  19. There's not many clubs or bars who use anything other than 1200/1210's, in fact i've never seen it, only when promoters have to supply their own gear. The other direct drive turntables are no doubt good, and Stanton do one or two very good models indeed, but Technics are built like tanks and keep their value as a result. Depends what you want them for i guess.
  20. The 1210 mk7 was the last off their production line to my knowledge back end of 2010. Technology won't have advanced too much for analogue based equipment in those 3 years, but parts will no doubt have got cheaper. The big tech companies tend to pump their R&D budgets into digital gear these days so for me, although it sounds great on paper to have all your gizmos in one place, if you're going to use these type of decks anywhere other than your living room, i'd stick with tried and trusted i.e. Technics 1210 or 1200's Pre-amps and USB ports technology won't be expensive, but as with everything theres a scale on quality and price. No matter what, your sound quality and output is only as good as its weakest part. These decks could be the muts danglies, but is the pre-amp is shite then what's the point. It's only my personal opinion, but analogue sound works better with individual specialist top quality parts. Digital's a bit different, as i recently found out when searching for a sound bar for my TV (thanks for the help on that one Chalky, got a belter in the end)!
