  1. £10 ish...maybe £15 tops. Not a rare record at all and not all that indemand. I think Craig Moerer does it for about $50 but it's not really the kind of sound that pulls that kind of figure all that often, if at all. The LP's harder, goes for more and got reissued but from memory don't think it was that special either. Sorry if that's not what you hoped to hear.
  2. Don't know if it's a 'boot' as such but it has been reissued recently on a kind of lookalike P&P issue pressing...looks like this... ...except that's the flip, of course.
  3. Thought it'd be regarded as a '70's oldie' by now...still a great record though.
  4. When you've got a $770 'investment' to protect, hell, you'll say anything
  5. James, you're sounding like a twonk again. Yes I want it, no I don't believe it's 'worth' anything like the $700+ or the $500+, to me or I'd have won the copy your mate just picked up off ebay. What's debatable is the price...as shown it's gone for $500+ and $700+ (actually seems to be dropping in price ) so maybe it's peaked already . If you want to spend $700+ on it fair do's...it's just a crazy disco record after all. A nice crazy disco record at that. If I were you I'd cash it in and take my earlier advice and get that nice Johnny Rodgers off Adam
  6. Symbol 8 (demo) - £5 Phillip Wright - debatable
  7. All but one of the Symbol 8 records on Shock (think there are 3 in total) are easy apart from - it would seem - the issue copies of 'I Thought You Wanted To Dance' which has by far (imo ) the better side in the form of 'Call Me' on the flip. You see the others everywhere - including the double sided '...Wanted To Dance' but the issue with 'Call Me' seems trickier. 'I Thought You...' also (first?) came out on Midtown...part one and two I think (?)
  8. 10 Soul LPs finishing on ebay today: Sandy Barber - The Best Is Yet To Come Dutch Robinson inc Can't Get Along Without You... HOT BUSH on APA SONNY TIL inc TEARS & MISERY GLADYS KNIGHT - Inc No-one could Love You More... Buddy Miles inc I'm Just A Kiss Away Dells LP inc Run For Cover Don Gardner inc We're Gonna Make It Big David Ruffin inc Rode By The Place Jon Lucien Rashida (Would You Believe..)
  9. Last I heard, The Monster had it (Harada, that is)
  10. The Daybreak was discussed a while back Robin, but no problem The Record Player wasn't. Nice to see they're 'preserving' the beauty of the original 7" on the RP
  11. I suppose Rideout and Wes Black could also be classed as an attempt at 'disco', but again, late 70's with a 4/4 beat doesn't necessarily equal 'disco'...some people would reckon so but next to the ones I mentioned earlier I know which have more in common with disco.
  12. Oh yeah, that cut 'n dried 'disco' standard
  13. Must be tons of them.... Teddy P - More I Get Dells - All About The Paper Best Friend Around - So Good To Know GQ - Make My Dreams Reality Norman Connors - Once I've Been There.................. .................and on and on (the beat goes on and on.... ) Wouldn't class that as even remotely disco personally. It's a magnicifent record but no way disco.

Craig Moerer has the Qualls at $40 here >>> https://www.recordsbymail.com/artistPage.ph...tistLast=QUALLS
  15. Robin's probably the best to answer that as he sold one recently. Great record.
  16. Can help with that... Written by: Brown, Gates Produced by: Fred Brown Arranged by: M. Jackson for Ed Kaplan Prod. Published: Chetkay (BMI) & Brohun (BMI) 1967 Time: 2:43
  17. If it's the one on Soul Beat then according to the sales blurb on a UK website its a "7" Single, SR25001 ~ Limited editon (Goldsoul) RE-ISSUE on Soul Beat label ". The Soul Mafia one is definately an Austrian boot if discussion over at www.fryer-mantis.co.uk some time ago is anything to go by. Just got an email from Expansion saying they had nowt to do with it.
  18. As far as I know (having been told by a guy close to the Hamilton Movt guys some time ago) neither 'reissues' of the Hamilton Movement were actually agreed by the guy who owns the music...or anyone connected with them. So that'd make them boots.
  19. Last few times I've seen them they were £35
  20. With all due respect Mr Simmons, $25 seems a bit expensive for a two track CD. The advert says 'Collector's album' but only two tracks are listed. Is this a full album you're selling or a two track CD?

  22. Musical Energy...if memory serves me well
  23. Should be attached. Very nice.
  24. Say, what?
  25. Christ! ....always been about a £20 top-er. That said Craig Moerer's got a few at $30. Remember Snowboy bigging this in his top ten in Big Daddy somewhere in the dim and distant past, which inspired a temporary rush maybe 5 years back. Bit 'funky' that one
