  1. Was asked at the weekend to play Art Freeman - Slippin Around. Told the lad that I didn't have it but a guy on after me did. He then said 'can you play some floorfillers for those lads who go to xxxxxx club, they there won't get up to any of this stuff that they don't know'. I was playing Big Daddy Rogers at the time. And in the 10 mins preceeding that had played the Vibrations, Four Pros, Maurice Williams and Chosen Few in an attempt to 'play something they'd know'. Times like that you think your just wasting valuable minutes of your life, and theirs.
  2. Think that was one of the few times I went - wasn't it Arthur Fenn who played those in his set? Certainly recall the Bobby Rich and Coco & Ben - I loved it, though looking up now and again there were a few crossed arms and scowling faces in there
  3. I'll give you a crash course in communication techinques over at chez fryer-mantis on Friday Nev - make your eyes water, it will. The air in that bar will be blue by the time we're done
  4. Mine was £75 Neil - had a few after it. Think Adam's was around the same - may have been £70?
  5. Just sold mine today mate. Try Adam Leaver on here - had one on his last list.

  7. Could use a clean copy of 'Stuck On My Baby' Cheers Jason
  8. I agree mate - think it's sold too or I'd have brought it out for Joe's! See you Friday
  9. On the site now www.witchsbrew.co.uk All with clips/pics
  10. Just had a message back from someone who bought a load of books from 'Plock' at around the same time as he sold all these Hard Cover 45's. They hadn't recieved the goods and had filed a dispute with paypal (having not heard any kind of response to his message asking where the items were - just like us lot) This may seem morbidly far fetched but it's not beyond the realms of possiblity that the Hard Cover guy is no longer of this world. Could be one explanation for all this and at the moment seems the most likely!
  11. Not my rip - was/is in refosoul Main_Perfomers___Love_Is_Guaranteed.mp3
  12. Had several after my last spare (6 months back) and could have sold it 5x over at £250!
  13. don't think so. Memory or something tells me the Force on Bandolier were out of Arizona, unless I'm thinking of something else. Think the other lot may have been out of Ohio
  14. Their 'Get A Good Feeling' is a killer too and has been attracting attention (and $$$) lately.

  16. Put together about 55mins of mellow soul stuff, available to download here really as something to listen to other than uptempo dancey type stuff. First track's a touch on the crackly, clicky side but the music almost dominates and wins out Feel free to grab it.
  17. Went to Agia Efima a few years ago - on the North(ish) east of the island. Dead nice, very 'local' (i.e no neon, burger bars, slot machines etc - used to live on the Lincs coast so had my fill of that stuff for a lifetime ) and boiling hot at about 10am (unlike the lincs coast). Kefalonia Meat pie was rank, though. Took a little boat out and spent a day going to tiny deserted beaches. The roads were vey hairy, especially the 'dirt track' to Myrtos Beach. Little did we know how sheer the drops were on the roads that the cabbie who took us from the airport were. He must've been doing 75 all the way - at night. Amazing landscape though and the whole place smelt of olives.
  18. ...and me, but the issue here is why did this guy repeatedly list more and more batches of 20 and then (it would appear) not send any. Can't figure out why he'd do that, seeing as for some sellers their life revolves around earning positive feedback. Way I see it you buy something, you also buy the right for it to be sent in a reasonable time period. If you pay promptly that should be respected with prompt despatch. Disputed this through paypal, can't be ars*d to hang around for an excuse if it ever comes, that is: the least the guy could do if he's running any kind of business is communicate with his customers if he runs into a problem or thinks there may be a problem. He's either a crook or just totally disorganised. Or lazy.
  19. Normail airmail £2 should cover post and packing. That's what I charge, anyway.
  20. No, it's a shocker
  21. Topic started on this here keith /index.php?showtopic=52533 Doesn't seem the most confidence inspiring thing to do, going private. I know he had one Negative on this already - maybe they're stacking up now. Still waiting for him to explain why mine isn't here 3 weeks later.
  22. Same here. Bought one a few weeks back, not got it yet. Must say it was mildy irritating and humorous in equal measure the amount of 'positively, absolutely last 20 copies' they seemed to have, each time they listed yet another 20. Was surprised to see it on Manship's auction given the amount of copies that showed up and were at $40 buy it now. Suppose the arguement will be 'well, there's none left, now'...not sure I trust that this is all there are to be honest. They'd sold a load earlier in the year: must've had about 80+ on ebay in the past 12 months. But like you say, 100% Positive so probably just slow or something.
  23. "you and me together" is off the LP on House Of Roton, almost totally Country stuff (not surprising as it's called Country Star) apart from that track and one more. There was another 7" taken off the LP called 'Don't Come Running Back' which was country. Not sure of a complete discog though.
  24. You might be lucky to get £200+ for Willi J. Seems to be around £75-£100 tops these days...less in some instances
  25. Cost - Lots Availability - Not lots Most affordable/easy/likely way to own it is on the CD/LP of the Timeless Legend LP Synchronzied that Expansion put out on reissue a few years back that included this and 'I Was Born To Love You' bonus tracks.
