    Pulse Lp

Have a copy in excellent nick. Light paper scuffs as you'd expect on a 30+year old album I guess. Sleeve grades VG. (bit more worn than this copy) Can't do photos at present seeing as Vista has rendered my camera obsolete
  2. great, just sold this...bet it goes off now
  3. Shep's doing a crazy New Year Sale 25% off all prices on the list below https://www.witchsbrew.co.uk/indexshep.html
  4. Any idea what it's going for now, Martin?
  5. Got a near mint copy for £15 if you need it
  6. Repeated moving of (usually bad) stylus back and forth at the start of a record to find where the music comes in, thus aiding blending of music and avoiding long, silent gaps between records. Usually inflicted on styrene records which are prone to 'cue-burn' though it can happen to vinyl too if the record has been cued repeatedly over a long period of time, usually again with bad needles. There probably is no cure and in some cases the entire record plays with a hiss as the dj has cut the burn further and further into the record to find the cue point, to the point where the only place that doesn't hiss is the run out. Kinda why your heart sinks when you open a package and a styrene record is sitting there looking back at you.
  7. This actually Shelley Fisher, Jens. Got a M- copy if you need it.
  8. Maybe in modern rooms? Maybe on Corrie? It's a 'hot number for dancing' apparently... here
  9. Yeah, that's the bit where the extra $800 becomes a bit much - decent enough track otherwise, it's just one of those kind of "oh no, not a rock guitar solo" moments (or thereabouts) when that 'break' comes in....quite easy to edit it out, though, in this case - got one somewhere
  10. ...when two people decided they HAD to have it, I guess. There's a $450+ dollar difference between what everyone else thought they ought to pay and what the two highest had on it. Classic 'buffer getting called out' moment, right there. Ouch! Can't understand the fuss tbh, the other one's better - and considerably cheaper.
  11. Well, obviously it's an ok-ish cover of the Zutons, which still does it all over Ronson's version.
  12. Yeah, I've worked for them for the past 8 years
  13. You can/could buy the record from JD Hall himself on ebay for $25. Strangely he keeps on finding 'another one'. There's something about the '2nd pressing' copies that doesn't seem right in terms of the record's vintage, but Mr Hall says they are from the 80's so we must believe him
  14. https://www.soul-source.co.uk/refosoul-soul...make-it-polydor should be working
  15. "Gotta Get It back" is the choice cut from the LP - great track - LP only as far as I'm aware. "Beautiful summer's day" is ok - bit lightweight, though. The other standout cut from the LP is "Touch Me".
  16. List updated on the site https://www.witchsbrew.co.uk/indexshep.html
  17. I've taken the laundry in and PM'd you
  18. and includes 'What're You Trying To Do' have a near minter (original) for sale if you need it
  19. christ, what a mess...now you see why I didn't do that Email us the solds and I'll knock em off the website. (if you click the underlined links they do actually seem to play the record - just looks a shambles )
  20. That's odd...it's working here, mate Just tested it...maybe your ISP is blocking it? https://www.witchsbrew.co.uk/indexshep.html
  21. Weird I'll have to test it in Mozzy Shep's ID is MARKS4282
  22. afraid not though Tommy might see this and post it up
  23. No, pretty sure looking at it, it's definately a boot - you can tell from the colour, the print and the matrix info (I sold my original to Tommy from the Oslo Soul Ex a few years back and sent him the exact matrix details which differed from the boot...which I got in the deal - pretty sure the writing was either all upper case or all lowercase) If you have both in your hand it's blatantly obvious but if not then I guess it's confusing. That said I guess even the boots are 'scarce' now which would explain the interest?
  24. Huge set sale list on behalf of Shep - 174 titles on offer. Too big to list here, all with clips: you can find it here Please use the email link on the page to order - don't PM me for anything - Shep's handling sales/enquiries Thanks
  25. No, but odd that the women in that advert dancing to The Snake are dancing in a style pretty much the same as a Belgian techno dance called Jumping. Maybe it's been remixed
