I dunno, Ed's not got a bad set of pipes on him, plus his effort isn't on styrene either - nice chunky vinyl. Good record, might even keep it listening back to it

Updated once again - Brewster Crew possibly also on hold, too.

If some kind soul could help me land a copy of this..........
The Ebonies - You got it baby Mid West.

Bloomin eck ! When did this get popular again then ? Ok like but i thought it was a £5 - £10 cheapie !
It's 'discovery' by a younger set of collectors, totally unaware of it's history no doubt sparked it off.

Brand new 7" Mailer and 3 (sometimes 4) 7" stiffeners placed either side of the record (alternating the way the corrugation goes for extra strength)
You can buy the mailers and stiffeners off ebay very easily.
Same applies for LPs but using bigger packaging (obviously )

What's the Fourth Day's version worth these days ?
Ike Noble ?
Any other versions ?
Clyde Milton too (on Disco-Tac), who wrote it. Seems to be lauded as 'the best' version for some reason - can't hear it meself, seems lacking in punch and a bit weak and not as well put together as the Laskey. Laskey's version's the one (imo, of course )

...and updated again

I am after Rex Garvin's- "You dont need no help". Anyone know how much it goes for?
Seen it up as high as £75 on ebay though that was a while back. From memory the boots are styrene and sound absolutely sh*te so be careful!

Has anyone got/know of a track listing for this show from the excellent (IMVHO) Ebony Cuts disco show?
https://www.ebonycuts.com/shows/EBONYCUTS_4...BISM_211207.mp3
The two tracks i'm getting obsessed with are about 35 and 37 minutes in.....The dancing one and ...."Gotta get back to you"... Help!!!!
Also the track that goes "of all the people in the world, you're my favourite person..." about 44 mins in... God i'm having the blondest of days.....
Peace
Buey
The ...."Gotta get back to you"... is Jackey beavers - Trying to Get Back To You Girl on Dade (comes in closer to 38 mins)
Sure someone on here was flogging one recently
-
it's to keep out the riff raff
...to keep IN the riff raff. Penned in like animals

Still looking for this - anyone got a spare?

There was a guy on the funk board after a Tenderonies Dave https://www.fryer-mantis.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11117 sounded like he was getting desperate for it
-
I'm going to put it on ebay now as "TWO KNOWN COPIES".
I had googled it and there was youtube video of someone playing the record in a nightclub, so that makes "THREE KNOWN COPIES"
Guess mine's the 4th known then - or maybe not ....there was one on ebay a while back, buy it now $400 or something - seemed a bit steep. Quite a few people know it, had a want list with it on recently. Mine cost me £20 but it doesn't seem to be all over the place -yet
-
My mate's got a New World for £600 - VG+ I think - just on the phone to him now and will pass on the details
-
-
This is the 45 that amusingly has the time stated as 3:60 on the label
-
Around £30 tops I'd have thought
-
LITTLE RON JOHNSON - I Keep Telling You Hard Times mint Superb, soulful dancer thats hard to find..Brilliant! £80
Choon that is...sounds like he's doing his best Lee Fields impression too. Superb record
-
Wonder if it's the soul Val label he owns - he mentions owning 8 (?) record labels and lists Val as one
-
Soul or not - nice wall of 45s though...
And isn't that a Koko label 45 at the top of one of those piles!
That's nothing, the record next to it with the inked out label is a huge northern cover up...he's just about to type that up into his database
-
Christ, all those records and he's got the crappiest pair of PC speakers there!
Classic capital D going on in that ladders pic, though
