  1. About £75 I'd have thought
  2. Kenny Dope comped it, too, so it's out there in the wider world. Had a few of these in the past and still remains one of my all time faves but I'd be baffled if the Northern scene took to this beyond the very leftfield thinkers. Manship once had something else on Planet Earth records which may or may not have been the same label...can't recall the title or the artist but it was £50 and I think from the late 70's/early 80's and probably damned obscure.
  3. Wow my mate's original just sold for £20 on ebay.
  4. Just listening to Nate Adams' 'I'm Gonna Be Good' on Atlantic and realised it shares the same or very similar backing to a thing I once had on Maple. The label was heavily water damaged but from what I could work out the guy's name was Snap Prescott (I think: been racking my brains trying to remember ever since I played the Adams and finally remembered) The Maple thing was called (I think) 'It's My Love'. Anyone know what the link is between the two (other than a very similar backing?) Edit: Just seen >this< on indangerous rhythm blog which explains the Johnny Brantley connection. If someone could post up the Maple thing in refosoul would be appreciated - not heard it in ages.
  5. Got one somewhere - will confirm once dug out
  6. My mate's demo just sold for £44 on ebay
  7. Probably same as mine - just a generic white card sleeve instead of the picture sleeve (?) Was told these were given as promos before the sleeve was done.
  8. Trouble is it doesn't even have 'Outsider art' charm, it has 'making every possible error in making a painting' charm. At least with so called 'Outsider art' there's some semblance of personality invested in the work, at least, even if they're technically lacking. The guy should go back to basics and learn to draw first. Those are shockers. And the Danny Williams dude...
  9. Excellent Radio Station copy available here with some ringwear and a signature on the sleeve. for £30 post paid, cheaper than the last one in similar condition went for on ebay if you take into account the $15 postage bill. One the best 70's soul albums ever recorded
  10. Think this is Andy Davies so I'd be surprised if he was trying to stiff anybody
  11. There was one go through in March for $48 so either inflation's kicking in or somebody ate too many drugs on the day they placed a bid. It's one of the mysteries of ebay. Like Winfield Parker on P&L selling for $305...some things can't really be explained, you just have to admire the stupidity.
  12. Sold mine at £140 a couple of years back. Great record
  13. Not on the LP Dave - looks like they're only on the 45
  14. Sorry mate just checked and had already sold it. PM'd you, though
  15. Pretty sure I've got one of these at £25 post paid - mint minus cond. Will check and get back.
  16. Certainly was a classic 'debate' for anyone with a spare half hour on their hands Read All About It
  17. Got a near minter for £35 delivered. Sleeve has some minor wear, some edge wear. Vinyl's near perfect - decent LP as mentioned
  18. pm'd you also
  19. Exactly. Difference between a reissue and a 'remix' or version. The 'fast' version is the original issue of that version. A great it is, too.
  20. Stunning album...vocally she sounds like Alice Clark in places. Had this on repeat for the past few days - sheer class!
  21. ...or because it's a great record that doesn't exactly crop up on sales lists every week. The original issue's obviously different (not heard it personally so can't compare) but every time I played the 'fast' version it went down a storm. Did they really satisfy northern scene demand for it in the 70's by doing this issue....was it that big a tune, because it doesn't seem like it was a huge NS record, could be wrong? Seldom heard it out...infact think Dyson was the only guy I heard play it. Got legs this one, as they say.

  23. I know, what I'm asking is for confirmation that it's the whole album. I'm guessing yes.
  24. Maybe obvious but does the download coupon with the Vinyl LP purchase mean a coupon to download the whole album?
