Pretty sure I've got a near minter - if you still need it, will check and confirm
-
I interviewed a member of the group about 6/7 years ago and put it on the site, only for my PC to die, then did a server switch and lost the bloody thing! Bit clumsy. Think the project was funded out of a basket weaving business in Canada or something!

Seems a bit ironic the guy's just posted a record for sale on the funk board.
Just remembered I had a similar problem with him a few years back...heard nothing for ages, no record then finally after much badgering he sent a refund - don't think he ever posted the record. Could be lazy, disorganised or just not bothered. Not a good look, though
-
Just sold my mate's for £42
-
Asked the same question

Sure Seb'll tell us if the dude pays up or not - does seem a bit extreme
-

-

-
quick un
if you use the media icon
(same as for youtube posts)
you can embedd such links as below
https://www.soulstack...m/mix241109.mp3
Cool, will use that in future but also as Boba says also make it so that people can stick it on their ipod or player if they want.
There's no probs with providing a downloadable link to a mix is there? It's not like posting up a track in isolation - most if not all tracks overlap so there's no 'clean', 'separate' copies floating around?
-
What's the dude's username?
-
-
Bob knows something about this as he commented on it on a previous thread (might have been the curtom thread).
It's a pop soul cover of June Conquest.
I know it's a cover of June Conquest. Wouldn't have termed it 'pop soul', though
-
Anyone know the story on this?
Curtom CR1954
Something New - You Babe/What's This I See
Two cover versions produced by Curtis. Can't find much info about it.
-
Funny innit...they're always cheap or 'used to be cheap not long ago' when you want 'em.
-
Crap sound quality bootlegs ripped off soundfiles and bad mp3s by the sounds of it. Guy's name is Tim Everett. I bought a CD off ebay thinking it was a legit release, then realised it wasn't when some tracks had bits missing off and others sounded like they had been recorded off the radio.
-
Three Pieces - I Need You Girl
Heywood Cash - You're Messig Up A Good Thing
Art Wilson - I Know We Can make It
Main Ingredient - Looks Like Rain
The Minits - Still A Part Of Me
Diana Ross/Supremes - He's My Sunny Boy
The Innersection - I'm In Debt To You
I.A.P. Co - Check Yourself
The Hytones - Good News
Larry Banks and Jaibi - My Life Is No Better
Gifted Four - Are You Choosing
George Soule - Get Involved
Will Hatcher - You Haven't Seen Nothing Yet
Bobby Jonz - Win Your Love
Levy Davis - Are You Ready For Love
J.J. Johnson - Don't You Go Away
Starvue - Love Struck
Hard Cover - I Bet She Does It Like She Dances
Mr. Percolator - I Got A Thing For You Baby
Warm Excursion - Funk-I-Tus
Russell Gordon/Versatile Souls - Double Booty Bump
Mix can be had here
or streamed here
-
Killer record! Worth £100 any day
-
My mate's went at £350 not so long ago
-
I ordered a couple of bits last week and got them last week so no problem here
No, you probably didn't order the thing which was pretty well underpriced, only for it magically not to arrive, as predicted by a mate who said '...well that won't turn up...it'll be 'lost' or something...' as soon as I told him how cheap it was. Coincidence is a funny thing, especially when you can predict it

Got a near mint copy. PM an offer if you want

"current Northern all-nighter spin 'Dance And Free Your Mind' by the Sins Of Satan "
Blimey, is that really getting played at all-nighters? Great if so, it's a killer (got to be the 12" version, though )
