I bought a copy of 'My Mind.....' (fast version) from John Manship two or three years ago, etched matrix is SHIPTOWN 70822 - A GRT.
John will probably have date of sale in his database.
Won a copy of 'Real Man' on Ebay last week from a UK seller, still waiting on it due to post backlog. Fingers crossed it's a genuine copy and not a repress
soulmac.
Yours is the same as mine by the sounds of it. Bought mine around 6-7 years ago and never doubted it.

Awesome sales pitch, you've managed to tie up the sections of the forum
The Roots 45 (the second clip) went for $86 in December - on their own obscure Ohio label(?) Nice record
-
Have a near mint 12" copy if you still need one
-
This sounds more like a "...who are the big buyers and can anyone send me their email addresses" type thread
-
My mate's sold for £35.43 in April this year.
-
Is that a slim & soulful saints in the middle there Baz? OG or reissue?
-
Aged In Harmony available

Hello ,
could you please , share a sample of this one ?
Bobby & Deborreh Willaims

Orig - There is a 'dink' on the label that is 70mm in diameter
ri is only 35mm diameter
Think this should be the major giveaway on reissues vs OGs...isn't that larger dink something that's usually more common with 70's/80's issues?

Popsike shows the last original copy at $305
Reissues are the way if you want a 'cheapy' (sic)
-
Looking on the web for the reissue I can see one without an address on the bottom, which is stated as a reissue (as below)
The originals (or quite a few of them) came from Ian Clark who's uncle (?) was part of the band. The addresses were partly scratched out on some copies.
Pretty sure Ian was responsible the reissue (not boot), too.
-
Any chance we can hear it Jason?
Couple of tracks off the album on this mix (inc long version of You And Me Together)
-
Ian Dewhurst played it on his Starpoint show a couple of weeks ago.
...but called it an unreleased 7" (?)
-
That track's on the album but there's an even better track just before it - killer modern dancer
-
ummmn never seen that, sounds interesting........Mr Perlmutter might be the guy to ask
Seem to recall he commented on it a few years back when I asked him but maybe didn't have one.
-
Roy Roberts LP on House of Roton...any else got one of these? There was a 45 culled from it but the album seems ungoogleable. Very nice modern track amongst the country stuff.
-
I'd guess this seller is also this seller - either that or the clips/images are 'borrowed' from the same source

James Brown 'Hell' Polydor / USA / 1974 / USA / Ex+/Ex+) £40 £25
( Very strong copy 'Papa Don' Take No Mess' etc ...one of JB's finest...barely played... )
Someone after this in wants. A steal at £12.50!
-
Just checked and... OOOppps!! - it's not "So long" but "How long" on Scotti Bros 12"
Sorry about that, yet another very similar title from James!
We all make mistakes from time to time don't we... hope it didn't get you all excited for nothing.
But it's another good track by James all the same
haha! - intrigued more than excited, with maybe a pinch of disbelief thrown in
Whereas you seemed to be having yourself a ball over there...or was it a balls up
-
Actually Jason. "So long" is also on a 12" single
(Not to be confused with the 45 of the same title on King)
Blimey. US 12"?
-
there is also another killer album only track by JB that in my opinion..blows it away...Keep looking..
Brett
..."You Took My heart" off the Get Up Offa That Thing, per chance? Killer, that one. Or maybe "So Long" off the Hot LP. Two modern winners there.

james brown-lost someone-polydor
Is this only available on the HELL album from 1974,or was it released as a 45.
Some sound clip`s i`ve listened to state 45, and other`s say album only.
regard`s.....Neil.
There's a 1961 (I think) track by James called 'Lost Someone' on 45 - totally different song though. Might be where the confusion lies?

Can't understand why, if he did send it recorded, that he'd not be more than happy to supply the info you're after (reference number, date of posting) if only as proof that he's sent it and not done the dirty. He'd have to be a real twonk not to want to give that info to stop himself looking like an idiot. Can't imagine any serious sellers not wanting to comply if only to maintain their rep: actually, it's happened to me before despite 5 or 6 requests for the info before a cock-and-bull 'explanation' for the record not arriving sooner, and at the end, still no 'proof' of it being sent the first time. Unfortunately some people are just stupid and really crap at customer service.
