  1. Yes, But it's the styles of music he was referring to. AND he sang the praises of both styles. NOT the old "I go here - you don't so therefore I have a right to slag you off". I'm sick of it Mate. It spoils too many musically based threads. Just post the f==kin' music and let it stand on it's own two feet. You don't like it? Fine. then pop along to a thread that suits you more. It's supposed to be about enjoyment, not some ego trip for frustrated DJs to vent their arrogance. Plus, as a moderator I'm duty bound to read all this gubbins! Now then.....back to the topic: Referred to on this thread as 'Brilliant' and 'Mostly Dirge'. Make your own mind up. I know what I think. Regards, Dave .
  2. Some folks need a head torch, just so they can really see what's going on up their own arses. Why do some people feel they have some sort of God given right to criticise others simply because they happen to attend a couple of dos they like, (mainly as DJs anyway), Get real people. Another enjoyable thread in danger of being ruined by the "'attendance cogniscenti". F++kin' pitiful. Regards, Dave
  3. He was a Latin singer. I think he was Puerto Rican or summat. It's the flip to his "Ain't No Soul (Left In These Old Shoes). Dave

  6. Is there a link to any promo site for this package? Or a place where we can view the item in it's entirety and see exactly what it contains John? I can only find the Amazon pre-order page. If someone wants 85 squidleys off me they'd better show me what I'll be getting. Regards, Dave

  19. You may well be right there Mate, I just remember trying to contact him after hearing Kenny Burrel play it at one the Rarest of The Rare Nighters at the Ritz and hearing he'd died. I then moved Stateside (late '03), and he'd definitely passed by then). I still associate it for some reason with IL and the 4 Vandals etc escapades though? Seems you do too? Why is that? Regards, Dave
  20. I think one of the factors that made people suspicious of this 45 was that it took off just before the 4 Vandals and that female thing of Peter Hamilton fiasco and didn't Mike Valvano die just as it became popular? Regards, Dave
  21. Yep, Can't remember the flip being though until around 2000. Regards, Dave
  22. Hi Pete, I did mention it was a CD and that it could be purchased. It's a minefield when dealing with commercially available products and in hindsight maybe I shouldn't have posted it. Lesson learned. Regards, Dave
  23. Topic Moved to Playlists as more appropriate. Regards, Dave
  24. You're thinking of Teddy Pendergrass who was the group's drummer before he became the lead vocalist. Regards, Dave
