hi hohn
does the fact that in the 70's due to a shortage of vinyl the rumour was that warehouse were recycled thus losing lots of stuff, if this is true then would explain why a lot of large run records are pretty hard to find.

!972 to 1979 favourites pendulum, blackpool, cleethorpes, wigan, blue rooms, carolines,
&
1997 to now and onwards, orwell, hyde united, clethorpes weekender,
best years were probably 1973 to about 1978 but the last few years have been great as i think i have heard more new stuff than in the 70's.

Sad loss, same as budgie knew him years ago and he was a larger than life character ,heard his name mentioned by richard a few times on the radio his remarks were as cutting and funny as ever, if i remember rightly di'ntd he have a record player in every room downstairs so that he could play a record as soon as he got in after buying it.
Read about his death yesterday as there was a link on soul talk to a comedy site, did not realise he had become so respected in that field i remmeber him saying that he was going into stand up, but did not know he had done so well.
heartfelt wishes to his family, gone too early,

the sweets is quite nice early girl uptempo thing about 20/30 maybe but might be a tad early style for you chris.

hi
checked on the internet and ray whitley is in country music hall of fame but will definately be a different one as this one recorded in 50's and was famous for cowboy films as well.

cant be certain but that is something like that figure from memory, it is a fairly big place but that is why it is always full and quite often a lockout. the modern room is small but really packs them in so main room may not seem as full as it could be. in manchester the fire officers are very strict with clubs. mark
the doormen at prestwich are normally ok, was it not the normal two on the door if it was you should have let lynne and terry know because i think they actually hire them, i do know they are allowed something like 550 people in this is there limit set by fire officer. have not been to prestwich for a long time if i do go just spend all night in the foyer taking the mick out of julian .

hi mark
i looked at this on ebay and having bought a boot in the 70's the one on ebay was identical original is preety rare and seems to go for about £500. but it was a strange one as on first play in the 70's it did not get the time to go big as it was booted too quickly so was not as well known as it should have been.
