That looks like a Greek Zodiac record label company sleeve. Nothing to do with the US label.

I see your point Pete but I'll let it run on Ebay now and see how it goes. Some soul tunes at the moment seem to be fetching silly money on there.
-
My word that is a huge run off , it's bigger than the playing area. I can see what is meant by the dip on the label from the photographs above. Mine is on Ebay with some decent photographs Ebay # 201410902769

If you think its original Pete thats a good sign. Knowing my luck though. I found a Rolex watch with the original Rudells reciept for £3800.00 in a local house I cleared a few weeks ago. The reciept was folded up in an empty rifled wallett and the watch was in the bedside cupboard. Took it to Rudells up Darlington St yesterday and had an expert to look at it. The laughed and told me the reciept was original but the watch was a fake! Work that one out.

This has You can't stop me on the flip but I think the boots have it as well.
-
As I said earlier the run out is around 3/8 of an inch which is a little larger than a quarter of an inch but a lot smaller than an inch so this is what is confusing me slightly. Hers a sounclip taken from the actual record if it helps upper hand.mp3
-
It sounds exactly the same as the one Tim Brown has for sale in my opinion. It's up to £1200 on his site with over a week to go. I think I'm gonna list it on Ebay with the photographs , soundclips and the info I have and see how it goes.
-
Hi Steve Thanks for the info As I say the run out is approx 3/8 of an inch wide and the boot run out is nearly an inch wide Now this is what is confusing me Upon very close inspection It does appear to have a very slight dip around 3 /8 of an inch towards the middle that is very slightly raised
-
I have here in front of me Now you've got the upper hand by Candi Staton on Unity. I've been reading the many topics on this and find it confusing to which is real or a boot. This has an approx 3/8 of an inch run out groove and has 7-11-A , (PRP-17521) , 161 and a small stylised squiggle etched in the A side run out groove. can anyone shed any light on it from this info?

I remember this feature well Pete. Still have that particular Record Collector magazine here somewhere with that feature in it. I only kept 2 Record Collecter magazines from that sort of period and this was one of them. Will have to dig them out sometime.
-
What makes you think that? Each record is just a few cents only. Think someone could make a killing on this lot.

This lot of 45's has just been listed on Ebay US at a buy it now price of eleven thousand dollars. https://www.ebay.com/itm/HUGE-LOT-OF-70-000-45-RPM-RECORDS-ROCK-DOO-WOP-SOUL-PSYCH-50s-80s-/141395209439?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item20ebcfacdf I think the seller started listing them in a few small job lots then gave up. I reckon there might be some nice bits and pieces in this lot judging by the photos. Pick up from Florida only.

I invested £400.00 in an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine which was money well spent. I make my own cleaning soulution very cheaply by buying isopropyl alchohol and distilled water. i then spray this on the disc while the machine is slowly rotating and use a goats hair brush and then use the vaccuum arm to suck all the loosened dirt and grime out. Then while still rotating I use a soft cloth which gives the record a nice sheen. I've used it on lp's and singles. It is very effective and cheap. Of course like any other cleaner expensive or not so expensive it won't get rid of scratches.
