  1. Yes Chalky absolutely spot on , some of the guest Dj's at the bigger local events leave a lot to be desired to say the least , musically and behind the decks and certain local allnighters where the prime spots are taken up with non local Dj's who's music can only be described as dire in my opinion. I fully sympathise with your feelings and can understand your frustrations because you are such a great entertainer and have a superb record collection and lesser Dj's are getting regular bookings locally. My feelings as you know are I'm not bothered about bookings elsewhere locally, I'm honestly not that interested, I wont ask for a spot anywhere but totally enjoy the 2 venues I am involved in and put everything I can into these but these points are taken on board when booking future guests. But hang on in there because in 10 years or so into the future most of these are so old they will of popped their clogs or be in old peoples homes so us younger generation can conquer the soul world or what is left of it.
  2. VA VA VOOM Now sorted thanks

  7. Hey now that you mention it Mark Ian Levine is making a total one off appearance in The Connaught Hotel Ballroom on Friday 2nd May. Not to be missed!! And he is going to be spinning classic soul 45's so please dont miss this!!
  8. Or no help or thanks with lugging around setting up at the start of the night / packing up heavy equipment at the end of the night for the last few years with very little help and no financial gain whatsoever , the same as all the hard work with bringing the artists over and all the background work again for no finacial gain but just for the love of it. I have seen it from both sides. Is it worth it all. Well yes and allways will be. You can be used and abused and it can get on top of you at times. I and someone else close to me are fully aware of the situation and it grieves us both that someone who is not fully committed turns up maybe on a regular basis getting guest and resident spots spinning bootlegs who does not put a fraction of the hard work what we do. It would be so easy to walk away but that is the soft option. I live the life I love and I love the life I live.
  9. Would this be at Studio 1
  10. Yes , no need to walk up to the decks to check whats on the turntable most of the time as the bootleg / pressings mostly seem to be of a quieter and very lesser quality than originals. Something I have picked up on quite a lot lately at venues by listening closely.
  11. I love lots like these on Ebay and have had some real surprises and let downs when they arrive but overall have done well. Waiting for these to come shortly and have spotted a couple of decent things in putting the artists to the labels and never know there may be one or 2 other things I'n not expecting when they arrive https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N:IT&ih=012
  12. Now I've read the sellers description properly as it is a bit jumbled up I can see it now. How much is this worth then BTW
