  3. Is CRS8051 the issue with "Hurt so bad" on the B side ? (as I remember). I asked Mick Smith about this once as I love Ramsey's version of this - from the LP. He said he didn't have it and thought not released. I have been looking around for many years just in case you get a "Darrell Banks issue moment" - that moment hasn't occurred yet ! Cheers............ Tom. Banbury.

  8. As this has been chosen by the masses and is my 1st choice also. I must therefore go for the flip side "where did you go". Equally as awesome in my opinion. In fact all their early 45's from their 1st album have the Andantes as backing vocals - I hope I am correct in saying. AND, off the album "don't turn away" is truly memorable. Cheers................. Tom. Banbury.
  9. Check this out. Penned by Berry Gordy , Gwen Gordy. Early sounding Non-Motown from 1959. Could this be played today as a "popcorn" or R&B 45 ? Cheers................ Tom. Banbury.
  10. The great Sharon Scott with the "Pied Piper" production team................ I'd like to know / Could it be you. Two great Northern dancers as far as I am concerned. Cheers.............. Tom. Banbury.
  11. Southwind Symphony - Coming home. Nancy Wilson - End of our love. Archie Bell and the Drells - Tighten-up. Always Archie Bell (or the Bamboo's) for us here @ Banbury Soul Club. Everyone leaves with a great big smile on their face. You know they'll be back. Cheers................ Tom.
  12. Carolyn Crawford , Bobby Taylor @ Q Club, Birmingham. Circa early 2000. Tommy Good , Chris Clark @ ??? Hotel, Northampton. Circa 200? Also, a few more great Motown artists, Groups @ the Q club about that time. Think there were 3 of them. Nearly a bust-up at one when the "bouncers" closed the Niter early. Also Northampton do's - many a great artist / group there too. The Impressions WOW! Cheers.......... Tom. Banbury.
  13. How do sales work on this site ? These were listed yesterday morning. I replied within 40 mins. That reply was read within another 30 mins. Get a reply after chasing up ............. "listed on Facebook last night and it went". New to me.
  14. Duplicate. Removed.
  15. Oh No. Don't go down the British 45 route. We'll have mention of Darrell Banks London issue , Volumes on Pama and First Choice on Pye , TMG525 R/W demo. Plus more I cannot think of at present.
  16. Hi all, I have a 45 by Franki Kah'rl - Don't fan the flames from the mid 7t's. Would this be the same person as Frankie Karl and the Chevrons from the 6t's ? Quite an individualistic name. Cheers......... Tom.
  17. Still looking for this one e-E-e 070 only. Anyone ?
  18. Sold a really nice demo on here last year for £80. Was more than happy with that at the time. Wish I didn't keep looking at J.M's auction results. Just cannot help myself. Yet the Kelly brothers Sue 45 for £220 [if I remember] seemed a good price. Bet it would have rocketed if I had tried for it Once went a bit crazy and bid over £400 for one of these on ebay - yet still lost it. Just love this 45 and wanted it on British. I know; but that's me for British 45's. Funny old world ! Tom. Banbury.
  19. Going back to Beatin' Rhythm issue 7 Feb 1992. Pete Smith writes "Roy Gelder discovers only known ISSUE copy of FITR. Smack-bang on the front of the fanzine, showing the B side only. So know way of knowing if this copy has the Silver A. Unless you are R. G. or have seen THAT copy. Mick Smith had a hand written test press copy @ Cleethorpes maybe 2-3 years ago. £300. Off-topic. Same issue says P.S. turned up Dennis D'ell issue. Not many of these around are there ? Ben E King hand written London demo up there also ? Cheers.......... Tom. Banbury.
  20. Looking for a nice clean copy of The Embers - Aware of love / Crazy about you. Must be the orig e-E-e 070 copy only please. PM price and condition. Thanks.
  21. Still looking for this in nice condition please.
  22. Had one or two replies to this. BUT only VG copies. Need an EX or better with clean labels. Anyone ?
  23. Yes Dave. Frankie Valli was the demo I was thinking about. Came out as a white label with MW3002 in the deadwax. I think the B side was "blank" - just played a continuous tone. Also, had some a fact sheet explaining probs with label printing at the time. Was once mad about white label demo's - give me a colourful stock copy any day now. Ended up with just a load of boring (label wise) 45's sat in the box or on shelves. Anyone else got a thing about colour on labels - off topic I know on this. I'll pay the price !
  24. I was also chasing an INV501 UK demo a while back. Mick Smith reliably informed me that there isn't one as we know them, ie like INV502 and beyond. Why I don't know - rushed out or labelling probs. There is/are white label demo's with INV501 in the run-out. I seem to remember he also said he has an INV501 acetate matbe. I'm sure someone on here will correct me. INV502 demo is quit hard as well. Cheers............. Tom. Banbury.
  25. Need the following please if anyone can help. Soul Clock 106. Sugar pie Desanto - Be happy / Feelings too strong. Soul Clock 1003. Sugar pie Desanto - My illusions / Maybe I'm a fool. Plse PM price / condition. Cheers...... Tom.
