  1. Confused of Banbury here. Are Ady's Sherilles the same group as The Shirelles ? From the thread and peeps comments it seems they are. T.
  2. Anybody have some info on The Sherilles ? I am sure Ady has another track or theirs "nobody's gonna love you". Heard it from some of his FB 100 Club lockdown live shows - or am I dreaming ? Pretty damn amazing as I recall. T.
  3. A nice 712 G/W went thru ebay just the other day. Did you see that one ?
  4. BVA has been an inspiration and education. Met (virtually) so many great people; it now feels like I have known them forever. So many new tunes to chase and the great thing is not all are mega $$$$$$ You have to know 'em to chase 'em and loads are cheap (at the mo). So much effort by the Crew for BVA to happen for so long a time - thank you very much for your hard work; it has been a ball ! Much respect - Tom.
  5. Paul, now try for all the UK Motown/Tamla Oriole demo's - Ha! Ha! 19 in total with the little silver "A" on the centre - wonder how many have ever achieved this ? AND some available in the Dutch picture sleeves with same CBA no. on them (obviously the vinyl is diffo). T.
  6. Your welcome. I had all the TMG's r/w & g/w demo's once 501-600. Still got my 541 r/w. Well done in achieving the above. I still believe collecting 501-600 as ISSUEs is more of a challenge ? (some of those are real tough). Cheers.................. Tom. Banbury.
  7. RareSoul45's has one of these for now at this moment. If still needed. https://www.raresoul45s.co.uk/temptations/a/42285/
  8. Totally agree on this - I have seen the same. Did it sell quite well especially locally - hence the proliferation of stockers ? Best, Tom.
  9. Yes Chalky, that is the story I know of also. All the peeps at the launch just discarded them - left all over the place. AND someone (or more) did go around hoovering them up - good on them ! I first saw it on a Mick Smith list for £70 when they reached our shores (he had a few). I had never heard it and was an avid UK Motown R/W demo collector at the time. He said buy it, you will not be disappointed - so I did and I wasn't. Nobody ever mentions the flip side - Desperate Situation. Think this is great - in its own right. Best, Tom.
  10. I seem to remember a story (true or not ?) that RCA recalled or re-used the vinyl of non selling stock copies. This is why black stockers are particular scarce. Or am I totally "off my head" with this ? Best, Tom.

  23. I always look forward to what you put up for sale Eric. They are so impressive with their condition and rarity. What a collection to have amassed over the years. Best, Tom.
  24. I remember at some point the two decks sitting on top of a brick built pier or pillar ? Some said they went straight thru the floor down into the depths of the earth to sit on bed rock. So that bouncy floor could not affect the vinyl being spun. Also the sound system was extremely loud but very clear and undistorted. Would make your ears bleed almost (and ring for a long time on leaving). Especially when Richard came on and wound it up. Seeing The Originals (with Freddie Gorman|) there live in 2002 was a personal highlight. Richard's 50th. Happy days, Tom. Banbury.
  25. SORTED thanx.
