I like to be able to see what was played at an event as sometimes i can not hear what the dj said the record was over the mic or to see what was played after i left as i can not stay too late some nights in case there is a great tune that next time i could ask the dj to play earlier
Have you contacted dj honky to see if he has any left.
If I recall these were given out free and you donated to charity, I don't recall these being sold anywhere
The seller rejected the bids as they were fake bids to push up price and not pay to spoil auction as they think it's a fake.
Info from one of the bidders on facebook
The answer to why promoters give bootleg djs a slot is down to money.
Bring in a named dj to play classic oldies and pay dj fee travel expenses drinks etc
Get your mate to play pressings for 20 quid and a pint then they return the favour at their event
Just people saving money paying people to play records who saved money when buying pressings
who got the ebay buy it now version last night for £10 after seeing this? lol
Ive just bought one from discogs but it was £3 plus postage so at least the value is increasing from your original £1
A great find
If this is who I think it is then there will be some great records in there . I've been buying from him for years after getting a tip from a fellow collector .
The clues are in the newspaper article and there was a thread on here about him earlier in the year .
If I had some spare cash I'd be up for a couple of boxes blind
I would probably buy 2 x £20 records i liked , £25 worth of motown mfp lps, one £75 soul pack and spend the last £10 on a dodgy mp3 collection on ebay so I could hear a lot of tunes before deciding which to get on vinyl or original cds
IT used to be about 35/50 up till a couple of years ago for an issue , now it gets played a bit and has shot up with the hype to about 80/90 and demo about 100 / 125
Less but it is due to the death of John powney who I regularly bought from every month . I will increase buying though when I find another good friendly reliable seller
