a complete set of mixed demos and issues went for arounr 180 / 200 ish on ebay last year some are worth a bit more than others sam williams larry clinton and flame and king betty boo and lester tipton but the rest are usually around a fiver and a pint give or take the pint

saw nabay go for 20 last friday been booted last year so is cheaper now but all to expensive at the moment , you can pick up most of them for under a tenner if they want it on a different issue to the orig why not get it done at vinyl carvers for 17 quid

i only buy blind from 1 dealer and if i dont like any he said he will do something about it i buy blind sometimes from ebay but only pay usually 1/3 of retail so for every record i hate i get some i like and then i can sell stuff on ebay at 1/2 book price and get my cash back

isnt there a track on ebay by dolly parton that keeps gettrng mentioned as a northern soul track , whats that all about listed around 50 75 quid !!!!!!

why were emi discs accepted on the scene , can anyone tell me the difference between these and the new lot of acetates being cut by vinylcarvers , choose your own tracks straight on to vinyl as im relativley new to the scene only been going out in the past few years i wasnt around when these first came to light but now it seems people are admitting to have had them done dave

great track with message from a blackman on the flip goes for about 6 / 10 tops label is vip tho there is a version with an alternative flip for a fiver or so more

shhhhh dont advertise this bloke hes brilliant trouble is as my postman always delivers the post now at 1 o bloody clock by the time ive rang up all you lot have snaffled away all the ones i usually want cant vouch for this man enough , recommends stuff to you , is honest about pricing and wont rip you off cant go wrong top man

surely if you pay insursance and the record is broken they should pay out did you buy from ebay with a pictured item showing complete record

i have lots of manifesto, togetherness and in the basement magazines which once i have completed reading i will probably sell on cheap i will put an advert in the sales column when i do so probably in a months time

if someone before you plays a boot of what you have an original of , show them the real one and after playing it in your set announce that it was from an original i have only djed twice so far but played originals only , both were early slots which i dont mind as i can then drink or look at records later on , i asked organisers what to play and they said it didnt matter as there were not many people there yet play what i thought was good one of my favourite records of all time is an unreleased motown track that only came out on a legit cd compilation , there were boot 45s of this of which i had one , it was in my box for my first gig but i looked at the other djs box and saw original records that cost hundreds of pounds and thought that if i played a boot it would take time up that a decent 45 could be played in so i played an original. i then sold the record i had in question so i wouldnt be tempted to play it out , to me its ok if this track is played off the original cd but not off a boot 45 so i asked a dj who played cds to play track for me

jackie wilson track about £100 on orig 7" pick up the lp for around 15 - 20 tho dave

i think the clue is in the word manship if hes buying its cheap if he lists it and hes got one for sale its expensive if hes got more than one the price goes up after someone buys the first as its in demand

best advise when listing it on ebay is to list titles as cover up then original titles then put what the value of each track is on a 7" shoudl go easily then dave

mind you i will now admit having paid over 60 for it before someone told me it was a boot and before the rule on another forum was lifted about asking about ebay items
