i used to buy records from alan rhodes and he was working in halfords but that was a few years ago

just recently heard this and was wondering what the price currently is ? before i go putting up a want incase its way out of my range thanks in advance

just a vocal added over the backing track , there are a couple more on the cdr i have as well one called sad sad way which is sidras theme with vocals the other is called whenever im with you (take 2) which may be a vocal over something but i dont recognise it

so now its ok to play the bootleg if you have the original but dont want to risk damaging it incase it reduces your investment , seen this done on a couple of occasions by a dj or 2 in my area but still dont think its right

they are probably given a spot at one of the oldies events in peterborough

its like the beige copy of porgy and the monarchs my heart cries for you , you cant play this side as its not the original at soul nights but the flipside is an unreleased track, its a dream ive always had , that was covered up as the peppermint men by butch i think , so oneside of the record is ok to be played but dont flip it over or you will get shot or whatever happens to people who play boots strange world of northern soul

covering up records was going on on the reggae ska / jamacian sound systems long before northern soul

i have about 25/30 on this label as i have started collecting this now will try and do a list later if i can

good idea with the cheapies is to put them in a soul pack picked up 3 packs recently on here and got some really nice unknown tunes for a nice price that i may not have looked at if they were priced by thebook individually

started on those 2 labels as well lol , got about 10 on onedreful and a couple on mpac

Thanks , just wasnt sure re the label designs i have most of the 8 i have on the 2 flags , one on the explosion and one on the yellow and green label dont think i will bother with the bootleg one as i have the tracks already on cd

hi whats the score with the 3 different designs on this label , is it different pressing plants , reissues etc as i have seen several of the tunes on all 3 designs i have just started collecting the label and was curious about the different designs incase one was reissued etc as didnt want to get caught out paying top ££ if one was reissues etc many thanks in advance

If he doesnt know what it is worth then a crafty ask seller a question with an " offer he will not be able to refuse " for his old vinyl 45 , you never know what his responce may be and you may get lucky , got a few myself this way

The poets the hustler / soul brothers holiday white demo on veep for sale , great condition , couple of tiny marks on the label and vinyl is in great condition with just a couple of light marks , plays through fine but thought i would mention the light marks incase £25 plus postage going for alot more than this on ebay and craig moorer

russoul - russ holley used to play this at club caliente and city club , i think now he has sold his copy on

anyone know why there are 3 diferent designs for mar-v-lus labels releases is it just different pressing plants etc

beware of the harold melvin "verison" that is floating about online , it is just the millie jackson version that has been messed about with on a pc and had the vocals slowed down

could you not get one of those prepaid debit cards thing , pay the money on to it like at the post office etc then link it to your paypal account
