  4. def on a bootleg 7" , think its on the white label chris clark do i love you with a stuck on gordy label was a thread about this recently so maybe worth a search

  6. i have the first 2 sets , just waiting till my birthday to get the third , good to have these on official releases but at least i still have most of the other tracks on this label on the collector made sets that were being swapped a few years ago until they get the proper release
  7. https://www.popsike.com/RARE-FUNK-45-The-Fantastic-6-Earl-Carter-Shake-Your-Po-Po-LISTEN/180800156914.html is all i can find on popsike and ebay etc , went for $300 but only 1 bid

  9. my mate mick beeby was djing at the crown on lincoln road in peterborough when a transvestite and their mate came up to the decks to ask if he had any techno , was really funny , especially as i had earlier played sliced tomatoes and announced it as fat boy slims rockafella skank instrumental
  10. but that is sort of how it should be , guide price includes vat so thats 20% off the total for a start if you buy from a non vat registered seller or pay cash at a soul night, and everyone says manship is too expensive so 10-15% less than his price isnt out of order anything that is not as new unplayed type condition is not mint so should be less and all these extra +++++'s after grade are really irrelivent but if 2 wanna be djs with space on their credit card balance want a tune then the price guide rate goes out of the window
  11. thanks for the info , if anyone has one for sale please let me know price
  12. just heard this on a disc , can anyone let me have the label price etc , is it uk or usa release thanks
  13. is the tony middleton version of my baby likes to boogaloo on this label any good
  14. the emperors got to have her
  15. there is one pictured on the youtube clip i posted , really sure i had this on another designed label as well as a boot , think it was a white label " gordy design" but the label was stuck on the 45 and was slightly smaller than it should have been
  16. pretty sure the temptations came out on a boot but maybe under the name of come on back to me baby , there is a version on youtube on a soul lookalike type thing link below
  17. just bought the mighty sam georgia pines a couple of weeks ago
  18. just play the original in your set and say something like " there , thats what a proper copy sounds like " , The more money muppets spend on bootlegs for their wannabe playbox the less they have to spend on records i want
  19. it seems that it is just a coincidence that since people have bought the guides all £2/3 records are now £5/7 , all £5 are usually £8/10 and all £7/10 tunes are for £15/20 these records are probably not anymore in demand than they ever were but alot of dealers have lots of stuff that they cant move on as they want top prices and wont reduce them thing people should remember is that people quoting the guide price is that it contains vat so those that are not vat registered should take 20% off to start with , and the price is for mint minus condition for both label and vinyl , ( this is just about still in shop bought condition ), 99% of records on the scene are not in this condition and so the price should be reduced on a sliding scale further from the price a vg+ condition record should be about 50 % of the book price once the vat has been removed in my opinion but try finding dealers who reduce it this much , most just knock 10 or 20 from the price
  20. please pm me if you have on for sale , think it has the san remo strings on the b side with reach out ill be there but been a while since i saw one for sale
  21. just loving you - hate it big style especially as its hammered to death by every boot playing muppet promoters mate masquerading as a dj
  22. i like bobby smith wanted and also lou johnson magic potion
  23. it was reissued by jazzman records if you cant find an original and still want a copy on vinyl
  24. what is the fork in the road track you mentioned? who is it by?
  25. if it was just to dj with and was cheap enough then it doesnt matter , if it was for my own collection it would depend on how hard the record is to find and the difference in price between the value and the sellers price the cheaper i can buy records , the more i can buy
