    yes but the 2 at 50 sold so it meant that there was at least 3 people willing to pay that , the one at £200 is still there

    last couple of copies of holding hands have been around £50 on red issue on ebay , boot is usually 12 pounds ish but some dealers chance it at £20 , holding hands probably worth a little more than the £50 but doesnt get played as much as the fantastic four or mellow so probably not as in demand with djs i have been collecting these and the hardest one i have seen on the label other than the scotts on swingers is im gonna live up to what she thinks , only about a £25 tune but doesnt appear as often as some of the other supposed rarities

    there are only 3 categories these days mint ( new release or unplayed stock found in a warehouse ) knackered and wont play properly or has bits missing and sounds like a egg being fried and the 3rd is anything between the other 2 which is playable with marks which often has lots of ++++++++++ preceding whatever imaginary grade the seller chooses to use to try and get more money from the buyers and often includes the phrase ok for djing

    likely that seller has a found an amount and only letting them out one at a time or maybe offering copies to highest bidders to maximise the return he would get

    i got stung sending some lps to the usa , buyer said he didnt get them and i had to refund

    i didnt know that the love affair wasnt the original , even seen it performed live recently by the lead singer on a 60's tour in leicester just checked out the robert knight version on youtube but still prefer the love affair version

    there are some listed on ebay for £10 but they have no bids and others that have ended at that price unsold

    if you are playing cds etc record them onto a hard drive , make a playlist for 3 hours of classics from the files and bugger off to the bar you should be able to add any requests for tunes you have to the playlist by dropping the file onto it

    if its a boot you should tell him , if he bought it from a reputable dealer then there may be some sort of compensation although it has been a while since he bought it , if he has been ripped off by someone he should know as he may purchase other items from the seller in the future and you would want him to make sure he was not being ripped off you could buy him a copy of the latest price guide with the bootleg guide in for xmas

    if people just want to listen to a set of things they know then they should just stay at home with a cd player or goto an oldies top 500 type thing , id sooner listen to 4 hours of unknown bobbins and hear one or two new tunes than the same old stuff. mix it up r&b , crossover, funky/ 70s modern motown 60's etc there must have been 100,000 records at least released from the mid 50s onwards in these genres but people still want to listen to the same few that were played at a nightclub that shut down 30 years ago because they dare not venture out of their safezone or they are just sheep and follow the others

    thanks to everyone who posted i take it that the whispers remember on 109 is the same as remember me also listed on 109 and just with an extra word on the label ( its the alternative vocal to times a wasting)

    the fuller brothers stranger at my door was a different version to the much rarer release that is on gd&l records with the instrumental on the flip as well hope to get the others i need soon when i get some more funds in after a couple of bills

    i have about half the earlier series and also a few of the 1001 / 1005 ones on there there was a white canadian demo of im the one by the whispers on ebay so presume that they were released there as well i read somewhere online that 102 may have been the original release number for times a wasting but not seen any proof

    got a couple of questions about this label if anyone can help anyone know if there is any difference between 1005 - The Whispers - I'm The One / You Must Be Doing All Right and the 1006 release with the same 2 songs on it ? also does anyone know what the 102 release on the label is? as not shown on the soulful kinda music discogs thanks dav

    only get one list through the post now and the stuff on that has gone usually if i dont ring at the start time post internet , no more buying dud records that you dont know , no more waiting for cheques to arrive and clear , if you want to listen to something you can hear it online in most cases , no more getting ripped off on unknowns that are not rare and available on ebay only downside is lack of record shops in towns but can deal with that
