yes it was a russ spin ,,circa 76 and no i wasnt there ok
but its poppy ish vocals but with a great northern beat and a catcy chorus hook
ill try and put up a soundfile up over the next few days....
ps
u can tell smiffys back!!!
=========
there were some great acts at hinckley wasnt there
edwins appearance in the september of the first year was pretty sensational

ps
this is one wigan record i didnt think would get revived ...
======
any one heard the other version of this but the carnaby street runner s on super k ...apparently was an early wigan sound but the b side was a mecca play - making love in a tree house
nice label ,,the 2 records er mmmmmm
=======
there was a guy a ebay knocking out a karma copy for about $600 recently
the wand copy is easier but u still dont see very often
woman love thief - what a title,,,
just picked up this on dman as part of my wigan casino 45s collection (as you do)
still not sure whether its a good record or not..
ill doubt whether ill play it alot but it was good enough for searling to play for nearly two years at wigan...
diane renay did alot of naff stuff on 20th century
is this any better ?
anyone prefer the ila van version on roulette
any thoughts fellow soulsters?
played this the other night in nuneaton and forgot how fantastic this record is ...
still cheap as chips but is a magic 70's dancer thats got that certain something
obviously mecca but i first heard at leicester oddfellows by dave evison..
gr8 stuff imo.

for me this night was perhaps one of the greatest all niters of all time and maybe chris kings finest hour!
im not exaggerating either
the main hall in the leisure was rammed as was the rest of the place..and it was a big place to fill!
simply a night to remember!
