  1. Gillys book and the sleevenotes of this cover it. It was one of the proudest moments of her life her cousin told me
  2. I’d love to see some of those if they are for tracks we’re involved in. We have some but not many. Big labels would do it, rarely indies though
  3. Plenty of tape errors in the early days. The best was Terry Callier Look At Me Now; a very different more jazzy vocal was sent. We issued that one knowingly
  4. Yes, no worry about playing it off CD or vinyl Chess UK 7” release. It’s not a jam session, just a faster version Chess sent us in error and we issued in error. I compiled the box set 7s with it on so it’s many fans from the CD ( by then) could play it out
  5. Thanks very much ady
  6. Is there an article about the Corsairs in the Home Of The Blues mag?
  7. Yes. Find 60 year old ones now in their sleeves and they’re good as new
  8. Yes, I’ve played some 200 + times with no noticeable deterioration. If they’re damaged beforehand that’s different
  9. Borrow please Crogger. That’s great. Drop me an email ady.croasdell@btinternet.com and I’ll tell you the deal! Cheers
  10. I need both of these 'I Need Love' on Unity and Esko doing 'On The Outside Looking In'
  11. Actually, sorted, almost instantly. Thanks for looking
  12. Can anyone lend me a VG copy for a project? CDs/vinyl and thanks in return.
  13. I assumed that implied you thought you were there at the beginning. Apologies if you meant something different but that’s how it reads
  14. So you were too young for Kelmarsh, Burton Latimer etc? Not quite the beginning then
  15. All done bar the odd tweak. 22 tracks, all RCA. End of September release so track listing later
  16. Thanks everybody, the Spyder first thing is interesting, I’ll ask Richard. Maybe that’s why he put Kenny on the RCA comp. The writers on Spyder are actually Kenny and Nate Edmonds. On Kennys release just Fred Skau which is Kennys pseudonym. I’ve never noticed a volume drop and I remember Randy loving I Gotta Find Her but not this particularly
  17. If joking's aside it's a daft comment; I assumed it was a joke, the record didn't do much in the USA and no-one would know who spun it where.
  18. Where and when was Kenny Carter I Gotta Get Myself Together RCA first played? Cheers
  19. Actually that’s a point, if you buy direct from our Bus Stop mail order we get a bigger share thereby making more marginal projects more viable
  20. We’ve never really discounted heavily to get rid of old stock so that the people who paid full price don’t feel cheated. Interesting you’re going for the GWPs as I was just thinking that they’re ten or more years old but if I did them today they’d be about the same in terms of tracks and info
  21. Great thread, comments duly noted. We do charge an extra quid or two for borderline products and have not had many, if any, complaints so hopefully serious collectors get it
  22. I don’t think any tapes have got out of Motown so I doubt the Ric Tic would be kosher
  23. Hi Kev, It's a sensible suggestion and we may implement it at the first dance, but the first few are going to have to be ticket only at a high price I should imagine so it's not an immediate concern. The BIG problem is going to be getting the tickets to the right people, We have some ideas that I'll keep to myself for now, but there will be disappointment for many people for quite a while i would imagine; there's just no totally fair and workable way of doing it I'm afraid. Ady & Matt
