  1. Steve, Kevin did the introduction. Dave dictated the sleevenotes to me when I visited him in Rotherham shortly before his death. Ady
  2. Yes, hard to tell the difference, but someone on here will know.
  3. Has Facebook invaded?
  4. That's very true Mike and a lot of his best stuff had been borrowed over the previous 40 years. Raking up and recrimination won't particularly help but it might give the impetus to put together something of a tribute or at least document what is left which will spur on other contributions to Dave's work. He certainly gave stuff away or lent it out on a whim.
  5. Looking May now, pretty definite and some super photos have turned up too
  6. Tony Blackburn and 1975:
  7. My mate said 4 questions and I told him the answers not knowing the questions. Got 2 out of 4
  8. It's a shame they didn't use a Betty Fikes/Gouche track, she was involved
  9. Indeed, let's get the film nuts onto it
  10. Thanks for that information. The whole dispersion of his possessions was chaotic. His LPs went to Scotland and were subsequently sold. I've got a file of censorship letters and a couple of nice Motown telegrams. I'll contact the museum and arrange to check out the boxes, give them relevant stuff from me and discuss what should be done.
  11. I doubt it but I bet he was on the undercard of some rock gigs that nay have been filmed
  12. Sorry for the confusion Mal, I'm good at that. It's as stated on the EP, the previously unreleased on vinyl 'I'll Be A Soldier Boy' same backing track as Bobby's 'Too Much'. I was flippantly suggesting I should have gone with the one in the ad to cash in on it. Cheers Ady
  13. I was but we planned the EP a long time ago before the ad which was as usual at short notice
  14. We are and they want me and you to dance to it for TOTP
  15. I chose the wrong Bobby Angelle track for that then!
  16. I'd not heard that one, from Louisiana originally, its all in the Soul Of Money CDs
  17. Bobby Angelle's family has made a few bob, along with a certain record company that will put some of the dosh to licensing new masters and maybe finding a couple of unheard dancers for us all to enjoy. Now eat your cereal up.
  18. Is the Bil Lou the same as the Polo or a different recording? Ady
  19. Smart thinking Paul, you forgot Eddie Parker!
  20. Thanks Andy, I knew Willie Brown was on there, I just wondered if any other members of the Intentions on Kent were. Amazing that it got a UK release. Cheers Ady
  21. There was a 1986 group on Columbia with the same name but it's not them Ta Ady
  22. 1980 Anyone got a copy, I could use the group members, and other credits please. Ta Ady
  23. Did we ever discuss how the mispress came about with Me And You Doing The Boogaloo on by mistake. Presumably it was a Soussain job as it was only an LP track on an East Coast LP not a Los Angeles 45.
  24. I think they were only ever at the demo stage, anyone seen a real issue? Ta Ady
