  3. Not even the c/u name it was Kenny Gamble Fabulous Impacts 100 Club single. Nobody knew about the Moments
  4. Wri-Han or Wright-Hanson also did the O'Jays Stand In For Love with Herb(ie) Williams arranging and Jeff Dale on Atco, both artists from Cleveland so it's definitely an LA-Cleveland axis for that production set-up.
  5. Sorted now thanks to Davyb
  6. It oozes pure Soul up there with Williams & Watson as Rufus would say "I feel so un-necessary"
  7. Nobody got this one hidden away?
  8. Two of the girls in the group conferred on this one so it's more reliable than some memories and there are always quirks in recording history that made the most unlikely of scenarios actually happen.
  9. Agreed, I was just pointing out it was on Checkmate not Kable
  10. According to the girls it was Benny Benjamin on drums, Jamerson, Joe and Dave, recorded in Cleveland before the United Sound sessions that came out on Checkmate, not Kable but that set-up of publishing etc. I'll send you the CD with the full story and MP3s of the other two.
  11. Can anyone point me to a sound file please?
  12. Actually I only had one and I'll compare it to the single one day soon. I play off that not a carver
  13. I don't remember hiss but it is a messy sound in general. Good though
  14. Hi Robb, it's different session to the Kable one abs a different line up, the girls remembered it clearly. I think it was Joe, Dave on guitar and Jamerson on bass. I don't have the notes in front of me. I think it's a better version. We already have an unreleased track from the session out on an Ace girl group CD
  15. No we've not got a backing track of it.
  16. Jack Ashford as part of the Charles Harris Trio were recruited by Marvin while playing a Philly nightclub and went on tour with him along with other established Funks
  17. Johnny Talbot was a Bay Area musician probably just appearing on these shows as support John
  18. A lot of records were like that, a musical business card, so I wouldn't say it was never released Martin. Just done for local sales and to help the group.
  19. Interesting but not pretty in a booklet. Thanks Paul
  20. Any chance of a hi res scan of But If You Must Go? Ta Ady
  21. Anyone got a scan of his 1963 front cover in hi res please? Ady
  22. There was a name but I think whoever passed the music on made up Margie Singleton.
  23. Absolutely Arthur, no probs with you and Chalky, it was the original suppliers wasn't wild about!
  24. Master tape passed on without permission
