  1. No, it's sort of old-fashioned! LOL
  2. It was probably less than a year from its release, was that known at the time? It sounds a lot earlier than it is.
  3. It's the Out Of The Past boot I need.
  4. Has anyone got a hi res scan of it please? Chained & Bound Was it a Torch play? Ta Ady
  5. Thanks and don't forget the vinyl LP for her birthday!
  6. He also did a solo of 'Mine Exclusively' called Keep It Coming unreleased till on the Kent Mirwood CDs. It's also on a Star Of Mirwood vinyl EP.
  7. Really bad news, he was a superb singer.
  8. Eddie was from Asbury Park NJ, he only lived in Washington for the short span of Shrine.
  9. A real tragedy but thanks for such an admirable man.
  10. No, there's no clue in the notes for the Frisco Story or Impressed-the CD the Brilliants are one. Soz. I'm sure its a radio DJ link up, maybe a favour swap between DJs
  11. Charles Spurling told me brain tumour and didn't mention any accidents
  12. Say Yeah is but not Riding High. It was an Ace CD from 1998. Has anyone got a sound file for Riding High?
  13. I've got a lot of correspondence from him. You can scan what you want from those. He gave Ace his collection of master tapes and I can send you photocopies of the boxes
  14. I sent you a PM Larry, check your Soul Source inbox, if you don't see it I'll email. Ady
  15. Just in case there's any confusion, Larry is a different guy to the Larry Banks who worked out of New York
  16. Anyone got a sound file or reference? Ta Ady
  17. Prelude was H B Barnum's label out of Los Angeles so isn't a boot, maybe it was pressed up because of "oldies" demand for it but it's legal and looks like a mid 60s pressing to me, we had it down as 67 but unconfirmed. I think the Colpix is a misp-reading of Candix. We have a scan of an original Candix test pressing of this (first label but one known copy) in the "New Breed Blues With Black Popcorn" CD. They switched it to the Storm label for release but it was distributed by Candix.
  18. The version on here and on the old Kent LP is actually even better Dave x The version on here and on the old Kent LP is actually even better Dave x
  19. You can get a far superior WAV on the CDs they are on Flanny. Jack Ashford Just Productions and GWP, one of them. Or download 'em from the Ace Site for not much
  20. Whoops, slight problem, our release date is Friday August 26th. Because there is so much demand for vinyl and so few pressing plants we have to play on the safe side and make sure we have the pressings in stock before sending out our sales sheets.
  21. It should be on the Ace website, I know we took an order for three from one super soul nutter today.
  22. End of July folks, I'll find out the defo date. Gonna be a huge Northern tune out too!
  23. Thanks Steve, I came across some scribble indicating it might have been but I think it was just saying the issue is hard to find; wanted to make sure before I go to print. It's been mastered up lovely, I'll send you a copy.
  24. Not sure, awaiting his arrangements, will know next week and will announce the line-up then. Tom and Cliff are OK for August; and me!
  25. Was there ever an alternative B side called A Love Like Yours?
