  1. Well very excitingly 1071 is two or three seconds longer so they must have used the master tape on that one as well. Though I've not been able to compare with the 1010 which is labelled Y B with The Sensations
  2. The Detroit music business legend died over the weekend. We know him best for his Impact, American Arts and Big Top recordings. He was influential at Motown and had big hits with Del Shannon and Johnny & The Hurricanes at the start of his career. Del Shannon's 'Runaway was a very influential record for this eight year old. I believe he was married to Patti Jerome whose 'No More Tears' had a few Northern Soul plays
  3. Thanks Lars for the third scan, the tracks should get a CD on their own with so many variations!
  4. Thanks I didn't know about the 1010 as YB & The Sensations. I'll compare the different numbers when I remember to bring Kev's copy into work; doh!
  5. Thanks David, if I need it I'll contact you. Ady
  6. That's great info chaps. I had no idea red and black came in so early. And what a Musicor site!
  7. If I've got your vinyl I can do a WAV file which is better. Ta
  8. Thanks David, but as Kev is coming down the gaff tonight it'll be simpler to borrow his and do it properly. I'll put up my comparison here. Ady

  11. Has anyone ever compared the Sensations Junior 1010 with Yvonne Baker Junior 1071 I've got 1071 if anyone could PM an Ex 1010 sound file, I'll compare on Samplitude.
  12. Is there one where the big collectors share info and sounds? I need one where i can scrounge the odd super-rare scan or dub in the interests of soul music history (and to flog a few CDs too!)
  13. Excellent, you're sleuthing better than me! Ady
  14. Thanks I couldn't find it ady
  15. Anyone know when the first red and black label came in?
  16. I was being flippant again Robb; sorry an attempt at light humour. Thanks Bill but Robb had already sent it. Nice to see an issue and it looks like a later pressing as it was a 1962 release which would have been Robb's design
  17. Anyone got 'That Girl' with I'm Glad I Waited on the flip Renfro 113? I've got it listed but there's no sign of it anywhere.
  18. Kim WESTON Helpless Kelmarsh Northants nighter 1969 I think. And I played it last week in Dublin
  19. Blimey. I've got an Ex for £150 if you want it
  20. Look no more, a copy resides in the USA; of all the unlikely places.
  21. A superb bloke and soul man who lived with the music virtually all his life. It's a great loss to the soul world. Fondest regards to all his family and friends Ady
