  1. Anyone got it for a loan? I could use an Ex copy of Jimmy & Arthur on J&S too; anyone know who they or dickie & Billy are? Ady
  2. 'Fraid not Tony, the masters have flown. There's a Ruben Wilson jazz single on the label too.
  3. Thanks folks and any leads on Gloria or the Inconquerables would be appreciated. Andy Killick has the latter apparently so I'll ask him at some stage what the SP is. Cheers for the extra info John, Dave is long gone and his widow passed a couple of years ago. I'm dealing with the very charming daughter, Flodavieur herself but as she was 7 when most of these were cut, I'm trying to piece together info on the label and Dave. Ady
  4. Now Sorted by the mods (suited types not our motley administrators) on Mod Culture. Thanks for looking.
  5. If so could we borrow it, usual rates apply. Ady
  6. I doubt it he's long gone and I'm dealing with Flodavieur herself. I'm piecing together a listing at the moment.
  7. It's listed in the big Indy labels book, one side ony known # 807 'You Won't Be True'.
  8. That'll be the one, I'm always getting my numbers mixed up! Ta.
  9. I got the Norma Jean in case you think you were seeing things.
  10. For me it would be to get my copy of Sam Nesbit 'Black Mother Goose' back on a 77 (Dave Godin's label that never happened, I think that was the label name) white label vinyl press.
  11. Title is Too Young Untold riches (or a few CDs, the referee's decision will be final) to the lovely volunteer. Ta Ady
  12. All I know is they wrote and recorded it for or about the film, whether it got to audition stage I'm not sure. What a sound though.
  13. Yes Kev, I ramble on about it in the sleevenotes but basically it's the first run through of the song in late 66 before the JayBoy version. It's quite different, probably just Eddie singing.
  14. Yes it's David Blake who also produced Frank Dell with Phil Medley, and Bob Calilli who ran DiVenus. They also sent me a 10" acetate of a brilliant unissued track by the Quotations called 'I Want to Thank You baby' that I played at the 100 on Sat and it even impressed Butch, and went down well.
  15. It depends what qualifies as a CD. Several have been out as record dubs, often in poor quality on dubiously licensed comps or out and out boots. Here it's mainly masters with bonuses like 15 secs of the Quotations, which sounds great; unissued Eddie & Ernie Columbia master, Ty Karim and Larry Atkins sounding crisp and clean, Brooks O'Dell for the first time on a Northern CD. The Flowers hasn't been out on CD and probably not Tommy Smiley (fascinating story about his whereabouts!) and I can't be arsed to see what others have already been bootlegged on CD.
  16. End of May I think, I've been a little busy and it got delayed! Lots of SS contributors on there, I don't know what we did for info and scans before this marvelous "club" was set up.
  17. Thanks chaps, SS strikes again. I'll take you both up on those, I wonder why both price guides don't mention either! There's still plenty of cataloguing to be done obviously. Cheers Ady
  18. On J&S and Groovy respectively.
  19. OK Gasher you da next best hombre! (but your avatars scare me)
  20. Thanks Simon, You Da Man! Presumably you hack into John's PC. Ady
  21. Spiedels, Stratoliners and Vicky Baines for starters.
  22. I know that Doug it's the finishing prices that aren't on there any more that I wanna know. Have all the bright sparks gone out tonight (literally and figuratively)?
  23. Anyone with a technical brain help me out please? Ady
  24. Sorry ain't got it but is it the NYC Mary Davis that cut a 45 on Fatback out of interest? Ady
