  1. Save me a Yorkshire pudding.
  2. I forgot about those, there was a whole live concert from Central Perk, I mean Park. Soul Serenade was one of 'em I'll bear them in mind for the new CD which will include one very nice unissued dancer.
  3. If you've got a copy Flodavieur and I would be very grateful for a loan of it. CDs in thanks. PM me if you're up for it. Ta Ady
  4. Total cock up on my part, I foolishly thought that because they said it was the 45 version it would be! I'm older but much wiser now (in some respects only). We're revamping that CD and will have t'correct one on then. It was nearly 20 years ago, in my defence. Cheers Ady
  5. Thanks Joan, apparently its the same B/T as Little Richard Only You oldies 45 too.
  6. DJ Al Scott remembered her swanning into Dolphin's record shop, from where he broadcast, wearing a full length white fur coat and not surprisingly looking gorgeous!
  7. Just need the label details or a scan now folks. Thanks Simon.
  8. Still need to hear and see the Wooden Soul-diers.
  9. Thanks that's good to confrm there's not yet another set of writers.
  10. I will John but you might have to read it from the CD booklet; or is that mean of me? Kent (Harris not the label!) will be getting the royalties after all.

  14. An MP3 of the LWS side would be good too. And/or for the Perfections on the same label. Cheers Ady
  15. Dave Thorley bought it from a Scottish collector but can't remember who, I wondered where it originally came from. It sounds like the version that came out on Ebony. Does anyone know anything about that, for some reason it has produced by Rene Hall who doesn't have any other link to the loads of other versions of this that came out at the time.
  16. I just remembered the band that supported Lou Pride were all from Brighton, pm me if you need there contacts. Ady
  17. Dear Boy, Thank you so much for making my job even bleeding harder! Is the 7" without the intro just the same as the 7" with the intro in all other respects? Could you give me the catalogue number, matrix and any other relevant bits to compare to the no intro verson please? AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh. Ady
  18. Thanks Ady, we have Mel Williams as 1966. It looks like there was a lot of BT swapping in LA in the mid 60s!
  19. I'll get a rough version up to you today if you promise to buy the CD!
  20. Nice one Ivor I'm going to sound really knowledgeable about Modern Soul on the sleevenotes now; whereas we all know the real truth!
  21. Yep, sounds like exactly the same backing track though not quite as good vocal as Ty, still an excellent record. Could you tell me if there are any matrix numbers different from the label or does that number on the label indicate 1964? Thanks very much, this is all intriguing.
  22. Well the thick plottens. Kent just sent me Ty's version of "If I Can't Stop You" so there are questions to be asked!
  23. The Hi Diddle side is meant to be the same backing track as Ty's All At Once, could you post a bit of it up or send me an MP3 please/ Ta Ady
