  1. Appearing at the Baltic Soul Weekender next April and Ace have just put a 24 track career best CD out on the Kent label.
  2. Hi Val, I might need the Freddie Hubbard for a dub now. Any chance of a loan for a couple of days? Cheers Ady
  3. I can ask the label owner. Where did they originally appear and subsequently flood out from?
  4. 'It's Better To Cry' is it kosher or a recent press of an old tape? If so by whom?
  5. Thanks Mike, but Boba obliged. Ady
  6. Yes he was co-writer. Thom Bell arranged; quality. Ta Ady
  7. Thanks Kev, the info is most handy. Ady
  8. Event Posse Arock
  9. J&S Zell's Sprout Future Achievement GWP GWP's Grapevine
  10. Thanks Bob that would be wonderful and that's a handy fact for the notes too, otherwise I'd have been down the Volcanoes route. Hopefully Jorge at Ace sorted you out for the previous help you gave us, if not please PM me. Thanks again Ady
  11. Actually Kev if there's mug shots of them on the album that would be good to use too. Cheers
  12. Thanks everybody, great SS response as usual. I'll take Fredrik up on it if that's OK as he has the US 45, but it's interesting to know there was a UK issue, I didn't know that. Now how about the Chargers on Vanguard? Ady
  13. Or even better a high res scan and MP3? All help rewarded witha CD or several. Cheers Ady The Chargers; You Gotta Be A Lady, Vanguard
  14. It was just Ernie, Eddie was dead. Ace paid Ernie a fair bit of money and went out of our way so that he got more than his dues, but his personal circumstances meant that he carried on living on the street.
  15. Ah that must be what a music system is then! Well done he should have great fun with those pressies. Ady
  16. I sent her a mail about Dore and contract etc through her site but haven't heard back. How did you contact her Chalky? Ady
  17. Great gesture geezers. Has he got a record player?
  18. Nice you came on here Gil, I've hammered 'Rules' at the 100 Club on London's Oxford Street for 20 years or more; it's one of my favourites and the lyrics are incredible.
  19. If anyone can find the lass, we've got a bit of dosh for her. Don't Let It End has always been a huge favourite of mine and is creating a bit of interest recently. ta Ady
  20. Maulted Sound
  21. Good stuff Chalky and chums, Ace will set up a contract for her as we now own Dore. Unfortunately it won't be too big a deal as I think there's just the one 45, but we can put the long version on a UK 45 and she'll benefit from that. Great sleuthing!
  22. Some great tracks and it's Larry Banks producing and writing at his best. I think my copy of the LP is really separATED STEREO WHICH SOUNDS WEAK COMPARED TO A kAPP 10" ACETATE i HAVE OF IT.
  23. Get up and spinning soon squire. We need your enthusiasm and spirit; you're a walking example of the benefits of Northern Soul.
  24. Thanks Pat, it actually sounds more 60s than 70s. What year was it and was it the Modern Scene that it got played on or just the scene in general. I'd love to hear the track you mentioned too. Thanks Ady
  25. If so which one and what's the LP number please. Ta Ady
